George ClooneyBiden has time to change this narrative. The conservatives are already pushing out the phrase DEI Kamala which is a bird whistle she isn’t qualified and only in her position as a woman of color. It turns this from a race between two presidents whose records everyone knows to Trumps record vs. a candidate who didn’t win her primary, and that is assuming no other democrat decides to run against her as a spoiler.as opppsed to the narrative RIGHT NOW?
@Wargames do you not realize Biden was losing before the debate and the party wanted him to use it to prove to voters he could do the job? Yeah I‘ll give you that though that was based issues like inflation, and the war of Gaza kicking in. You can’t just say “don’t consider those anymore” when putting in a new candidate. Those are hurdle any democrat would struggle to get over, and might be why they are all looking bad downballot.

I’ll hit you with the political reality of this whole thing though, Kamala nor anyone else is going to come in and erase those issues. Plus you’re going to have to deal with people not voting for them since they changed horses midrace.
Your whole argument assumes there won’t be infighting, that the voters will get behind a new candidate because they are new and ignore the issues they have with Biden carrying over.
Finally this is the biggest assumption that the Republicans wouldn’t pounce on the democrats in a moment of weakness. Trump is doing Trump, but he would feast on Kamala. You go on Twitter and damn near everytime her name is brought up and it’s not about her being the nominee it’s about her fukking Montell Williams and Willie Brown. They are prepped and most being are not desensitized to their Kamala attacks and she wouldn’t have time to deal with that and run for president.
So unless you can show that the party has abandoned Biden, they got to play they hand they have, and run on his record. Right now nationally he is down 2 points and maintained 94% of his support after a horrible debate. They have all the ad buys possible.

no, and i find it disgusting that that would even be a consideration. this is about beating donald trump, not kamala's feelings
kamala didn't WIN vice president. it's not like she came in second in 2020. and she didn't win a primary in 2024. so she's owed less than nothing, as far as the '24 nomination, or any nomination. her job = stepping in if something happens to biden; that's it
