OBL essentially killed privacy for most Americans after 9/11 and ruined air travel. The hysteria that came from it led to two wars that cost us trillions after we had built up a budget surplus. We've never recovered from Iraq and Afghanistan. Imagine what would've happened if that money was spent on infrastructure and government jobs for people.
