It's why Republicans have a easy time reaching out to their constitutes, they're willing to break rules to get their policy objectives through. Democrats are addicted to the moral high ground, won't even act within the rules of the found power the president was presented .

It doesn't have anything to do with the moral high ground, it's the fact that they don't have any actual policies that their body would agree upon and not get blocked by the courts.

People are talking, "The democrats should use this power to do something!" Do what, exactly? Exactly what do you think they could actually do, that Biden wants to do and Manchin and Sinema would co-sign, that wouldn't get blocked by the conservation courts?

Do you think reparations would help Biden in Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia? My guess is that opinion polls show the exact opposite, so it would be a question of whether reparations pulls in more black voters than it pushes away white voters.


Either way, there is zero chance Biden could deliver it without 60+ Democratic senators. Even if they removed the fillibuster, are Sinema, Manchin, Tester, etc. going to vote for that?
