if it helps the black community, why does it matter if it isn't specified. the First Step Act doesn't specify any particular group, but that didn't stop most of the people on this forum arguing to death about which attorney deserved credit over kim kardashian for using it to free dozens of incarcerated black men (and women) in 40 days or whatever it was

Folks want the great Black savior that they feel they can smoke a blunt with in the backyard while listening to Maze, that gives the finger to White folks, and throws up Black power signs.

And this is the problem RIGHT HERE.

"Black" candidates, politicians and people who actually think this bullshyt is actually representative of black people.

People who think if you won't benefit from student loan forgiveness or reduced mortgage rate, you're wanna of the aforementioned "black people."

I should neg your stupid ass for this bullshyt.

.Btw home ownership is not going to decrease the wealth gap.

Cannot disagree with you more. Inheritable assests are a major component of the wealth disparity in the US. PLENTY of brehs making six figures right along their white counterparts, but their white counterparts are inherting home(s) from their parents while the black worker is not only trying to buy his home but he is also trying to buy his parents a home.

So one has 0 debt and no mortgage while the other has half a million in debt in home loans alone.

Home ownership and inheriable wealth is PIVOTAL to reducing the wealth gap. If it wasn't, cacs wouldnt have done half the things they did in the Jim Crow era to stop blacks from acquiring it. If you pass a home onto your child, you have given them such a massive advantage... its hard to even quantify

I think it’s going over most people’s head

Everything she mentioned ARE black problems. No?

She's not talking specifically about reparations that's what she's pointing out...
:comeon: that's what black people keep harping at her about. But if she can't ride for us on reparations fukk her cause that lifting all boats shyt doesn't work!!!:why: black families median income WILL BE ZERO!!!

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
S/o to Kamala for roasting and really hurting Biden's campaign
I need to learn more about the candidates, but from what I've seen she's not really w/it :mjpls:
Someone feel free to inform me, but it seems like Warren and Bernie are better options? :patrice:
Can someone tell me about Cory Booker a bit? If I remember he was trying to fight mass incarceration which isn't being talked about enough, worked with Bryan Stevenson a bit :jbhmm:

But she directly referenced the racial wealth gap.

If that’s not a clear enough sign that she will “attempt” to not let the black family median income be 0, then I dunno what to say

Getting a chunk of money isn’t going to address a lot of these long term issues that have affected the black position in America.

I still think financial reparations should be studied and understood before guaranteeing everyone will get it. It’s not that simple to say everyone will get a check. But that’s why there is HR40 bill which is backed by her, Warren, Booker, etc.

But what I think should be more lauded is the institutional reparations that will positively affect the situation for a much longer period of time than a hand out of dollars.

These are the issues she is addressing in her quote. It was a correct political response

Check out Cornel West's response at 4mins

Yall heard that. CNN and 2020 candidates talking about the racial wealth gap.

Keep it a buck. None of them was talking about this subject before Tonetalks, Breaking Brown etc.

Dems woulda been talking about the same old bs issues to black folks (prison reform, welfare to work, access to better schools, everything except for Reparations and the racial wealth gap).
