This is where I think not having a Black husband will hurt her. More Black people would trust her if she had a Black husband, even if she continued with this approach. Also he would be able to help her get more Black male support. People underestimate the role Michelle Obama played in helping him build up his Black support outside of educated, corporate and HBCU circles.
