I dropped out of college cause I lacked the passion to succeed, and didn't know what to do.

Now I'm in tech making 6 figures.

I think my problem is I rushed to college without any concrete ganeplan and shyt too expensive for that.

Thats the thing. Because we can't cultivate our Boys to become Men you have it where THE MOST EXCEPTIONAL talent literally figuring shyt out themselves just to be NORMAL, imagine if they had grooming. Then you have many boys who are average but still no grooming and they underachieve and get written off as being lesser than. The number of Bad seeds are actually low but because of no order everything ends up looking upside down.

Then you have it where because we are used to this state of dysfunction lotta brehs especially now are just walking away especially because of the internet kind of confirming things they saw in their family as being wide spread have them saying "yeah I don't want anything to do with this"

We should try to have the conversation. There's young brehs reading this. Besides we can't always have some low vibrational bullshyt conversations about IG models or Coli daddies.

We also can just sit around and Blame Black women for everything.

we been having this convo for 60 years, it's over lol. The issue is people don't want to accept it and move on to the next chapter. That is what's the problem. Holding on to something dead and ending up being passed by even more now by everyone else.

But why did you stop going to Middle school.

What made you think that was a good idea.

What were you doing instead of attending school?
I mentally checked out in the 3rd grade I moved to DC and started fighting every day in the 5th grade I was already involved in gang activity but the basic answer was I didn't want to go to school so I didn't I play ball or go to the zoo or to the game room.

standard shyt My moms didn't question me or check with the school.

I don't know what it is about girls but who'd go to school if they weren't made to?

Like I said girls are better at following simple instructions they go to school because they were told to, I didn't go once I found out that there were no truant officers.

I get it but the super Black pilled answer is easy. I just saw a Black Man's Travel discussion where Skylar De Rouren retired from the Air Force and is a millionare living in Rio.

I'm not a Millionaire but I'm following the same path but everyone ain't gonna join the military, Retire and get out of the "matrix"

It's wild that his brother got killed in some street shyt and he got the fukk on so that's two missing Black Men

But that ain't the answer for most Black Men Most Men will stay and figure it out at home.

I tell dudes go yo college if you can go for free or very close to free...like maybe 25% out of pocket max.

Going to school to go into debt before you even have a chance to gain experience is not a smart way to start life. That's advice I give youngsters and they say everytime they never hear it from anybody else. :wtf:

Barrimg that the armed forces and stick with that shyt. I know so many folks...yeah they had some rough years in the military but now that they are older they are on easy street. In a much better position than most college grads.

Barring that....trade school but don't get married. Get some money saved up. Enjoy yourself. Get to know who you are and what you really want in life. Life isn't a sitcom. Take time to be honest with yourself about yourself.

People always ignore ROI. Going 5-6figures in debt for a career field with little to no prospects or median salary is less than or equal to one year of tuition lol

Let me give a detailed answer there was a cultural aspect too. I went to several schools. I went to Archbishop Carroll on a scholarship. I actually went to class every day. I wasn't the best student but there was no gang politics and everyone else went to school so I did too.

Lost the scholarship and went to Ballou high school. Taraji Henson was an upperclassmen but I don't remember her and again cultural differences people didn't carry books to class so I didn't. I kept wearing suits because it made me stand out.

There was gang politics and the student parking was more lit than Teacher parking.

Went to mixed Wilson High and although there was student parking you were encouraged to catch the subway so I did. some gang politics but more racial politics

Kids where fukking up their too and the school resoruce officer's main job was to broom kids from hanging out in front of the school during and after class even the white students did this.

The resource officer at Wilson was a civvy The one at Ballou in the hood was an actual cop.

Albert the Cop at Ballou got killed in a on duty car crash and was well loved. he did date Sunshine the Puerto Rican chick who was 18 which of course was a huge no no but this was the 90's

Sunshine became a DC cop then she went to the DEA.

The find a free ride is nuanced. I had a free ride to the school in Vermont and Pitt. Pitt wanted me to audit some classes because my SAT was under 1240.

I went to the HCBU where I paid. I think I made the right choice.

If it worked for you that's beautiful.

But exceptions aren't rules. Starting out in debt is such a letdown in life. Average kid doesn't know jack about finances but gets saddled with 80k debt plus interest right out of the gate. And they wonder why the middle class is disappearing. Taught everybody debt was cool then priced everybody out of shyt so debt became necessary to live.

Let’s not forget this is a boy problem not a black boy problem exclusively

But specifically for black boys, from my experience through school education is anti black male in general, the community gave up on the boys, there ain’t no mercy for black boys/men in this country

The education system in general needs to be reformed, unfortunately education has gotten worse over the years and of course black Boys will be hit the hardest
