"The part of the family that doesn't know how to use apostrophes vs the schoolteacher" is probably not the contrast they were going for.

Tim Walz's family members in Nebraska are voting for Trump.

Tim Walz said we could chalk his lies up to “bad grammar”. Perhaps this is a family trait.

@a_davis_b
The irony of this is uncanny, didn’t Tim Walz just blame his stolen valor remarks on his bad grammar?

Your comment reveals arrogance and a lack of understanding of why people who may not be as educated as yourself, won’t vote for the “teacher.” There are millions just like them who know the Dem party thinks they’re stupid, which is why they’re not blue collar Dem voters anymore.

It’s very funny that they’re using an apostrophe perfectly correctly and you jump into criticize them without knowing what you’re talking about

You can never please progressives because of their purity Olympics bullsh1t

She’s trying to win an election and cast as wide a net as possible she’s not adopting Chaneys policies

Politics is a dirty game and sometimes you have to play in the mud

If you’re looking for only saints to endorse/vote for your candidate you’re gonna be waiting awhile

Right wing pivot??!

:pachaha:

Y'all done let this Israel/Gaza conflict radicalize y'all into stupidity.
Harris is objectively running the most right wing/centrist Democratic campaign for presidency relative to the environment in like two decades. Part of that is because there was no primary where Dems are usually pulled to the left. You seem to think Trump = right wing or something and that anything to the left of that is moderate. This is something a college freshman should understand. The debate should be around the merits of that strategy not whether it is happening.

A lot of you guys have no political instincts or principles outside of opposition to that orange idiot.

AOC is still a Progressive, but she has learned to play ball in D.C., but some Progressive believes she has turned face. Politics isn't just about making laws, but also learning how to play the game through socializing with others, even some in the other party.

It's how you stay in D.C., and don't have your own party push a challenger to primary you.

But some people say your betraying your beliefs, far from the case.

Yup she’s smart and realized you have to play the game so you can eventually get small victories she knows she can’t get every progressive policy or even most through but it’s about baby steps and getting your foot in the door

These people think you can become president on Hasan Pikers ideology without any concessions

And here comes the tired ass talking point of purity politics from people who don’t have a single principle that they stand on or won’t compromise. Standing next to someone who has principles usually makes those without them uncomfortable.

The whole notion of purity politics is some shyt people say who are unable to actually engage with the merits of a critique. If I opposed the internment of the Japanese would that be purity politics during WWII? If I am opposed to the death penalty and I don’t want to vote for someone who runs on that am I practicing purity politics? What about a woman’s right to choose? What about not enacting a pro cop regime? What about support for labor and unions? What about Jim Crow? What about support for affirmative action? What if I oppose the privatization of public education?

Please define what is purity politics - I’m curious. And while you’re act - explain to me how progressives - disproportionately the most educated people in the country or those most connected to grassroots advocacy groups and movements are engaging in uneducated “bullshyt.” Motherfukkers are acting like someone said run on Medicare for all, a 25 dollar minimum wage tied to the CPI, abolishing prisons, free college and pre-k, and guaranteed jobs or some shyt. Those are progressive dreams - no one is asking for any of that - they’re saying stop siding with the opps.

Yo - can you very online people stop using “progressives” as if people with progressives are a monolith. You’re making yourselves look foolish. If progressives had an issue with AOC she wouldn’t continue to be popular on the left and experience their support. Politicians get criticized when they do things constituents don’t like - that’s life. But for some reason you’ve all been conditioned to view left wing critiques - which are generally for the betterment of society — as a nuisance equivalent to right wing critiques. It’s reductive and unhelpful and part of what shyt doesn’t get done. AOC hasn’t had anyone except the literal “democratic socialists of America” and the Green Party turn on her. The problem is that too many of you experience politics in 3 ways: mainstream news networks, your immediate friend group and being very online where only the most passionate caricatures post.

Bernie Sanders was literally with a lot of people I know at a Nevada for Harris event a few days ago and some people on the campaign wanted him to hit all of their talking points and he declined while endorsing and supporting. Dude basically said I disagree on some policy points but I recognize the threat of Trump. That’s how 95 percent of progressives are which is why Warren and Sanders voters support the democratic nominee at a higher rate than voters of other candidates. It’s like you guys are talking about aliens instead of regular everyday people. It’s annoying as fukk.

This is false.

Harris is running a typical center-left Democratic campaign. The only major issues she's shifted right on is fracking (in order to try and win a crucial swing state - Pennsylvania) and immigration (to match the rightward shift of the wider electorate).

She's running a great campaign.

I don't view Progressives as a monolith, I view Progressives with clear "My Way or the Highway" mindset right now. They are looking for giant leaps, and bemoan with small victories. Right now we are at a point in politics where the younger generation are becoming more progressive, but it will take a decade or two really make that leap.

If I knew @No1 had time today to get on his horse to vigorously defend his bros that are upset Kamala conceded no policy points to gain the votes of people spanning from Taylor swift to dikk Cheney, I would have got my popcorn ready.

I would love to hear the specifics of how she is running the most right wing/centrist campaign in modern times (relative to the environment, nice caveat you through in there), however
