If the calculus was as simple as you’re making it then it would be a no brainer for the DNC to allow her to speak but it’s not. There’s a risk, if she goes off script and says super controversial shyt then they’ll either have to cut her mic or let her finish and either scenario would severely damage Kamala’s momentum.
Other than her Palestinian ethnicity and heritage, what makes you think this woman who works for the Democratic Party would be so duplicitous as to go off-script and torch her career and damage the campaign she already personally endorsed? Surely the Jewish parents of the Israeli hostage were just as aggrieved as she was, so why was this not a big enough concern to ban them from speaking as well? Is there something inherent about these civilians that makes them more trustworthy than the Palestinian?

On the flip side if DNC allowed the speech as presented what would be the upside? Sure she could gain some votes but would that be offset by Zionist switching to Trump?

The upside is limited and like I said the fact that they are going public with being rejected shows they don’t give a fukk if they hurt Kamala’s campaign as long as they can get message out.

The same upside there is to any speech at the DNC. For some reason it's obvious why white Republicans and Jewish Zionists need to be courted, but when it comes to the 700,000 Democratic-leaning voters who support Palestinian rights and already voted to withhold their votes over the issue we come up with every reason in the book they can and should be ignored.

sounding more like an interrogation than a friendly chat or meet and greet.

He's garbage at small talk. When Kamala and Walz go to restaurants, they are there asking the owners about their story or just being relatable to the workers, etc..

JD Vance whole thing... "how long you work here?"

"Good."

"Hey, how long you work here?" "Good."

If she cared more about Kamala winning than virtual signaling about Palestine then why did she go public? The fact that she’s doing this shows Kamala made the right choice.

I don’t know the state rep personally so I can’t answer why they viewed her giving the speech as too much of a risk.

I would have trusted Rashida Talib more than some unknown state rep.

Yea the guy who said Jews shouldn't vote for Kamala because she was too soft on Gaza, I'm sure he will be better. The R speaker of the House has Israel's flag on his door. Democrats have openly said they want a ceasefire. That's much closer to peace than the alternative.
The speech that the Uncommitted movement wanted to have delivered ended by forcefully endorsing the Harris campaign because Donald Trump and the Republicans are anti-Palestinian pieces of shyt, and it still got rejected by the Harris campaign. They're literally doing what you're asking them to do and still getting their face spit in. Ultimately a lot of y'all just want these people to disappear because their very existence is holding up a mirror.

You're not getting a f*cking speech while you stand around with Genocide Joe and Killer Kamala signs. Put your emotions in your pockets for a minute and embrace the reality of the situation.

The DNCs purpose and priority is to put a pair of Democrats in the Oval Office and a majority in both chambers of congress. The Harris/Walz campaign's objective is to sell themselves as that pair. You all don't want to hear this and you demonize anyone who points it out to you but, the vast majority of the country does not share your urgency on Gaza or on the Palestinian people. Because of this, the Democrats will not suddenly fast track the issue to be of utmost importance. Not now nor after the elections.

A shift in US foreign policy is not going to get you a ceasefire, how many times does Netanyahu has to demonstrate to you that money and weapons from the US will not deter him from saving himself at all costs while being able to kill an ethnic group of people he hates and knows others who will aid him also hate?

Israel NEEDs a regime change. The State Department is not going to actively assist in a regime change in an ally country.
