:dahell: when I say passing numbers, I didnt mean TOTAL passing numbers

of course fields has less pass attempts

mac jones never had a receiver of dj moores caliber his entire career, dudes best wr was kendrick bourne and his AVERAGE numbers are better or as good as fields. how ?

sure, fields has the rushing yards, which is great, but as a passer ?
You ignored the first point I made earlier when I asked why Mac Jones fell off after his rookie season. Was Josh McDaniels really that much of a factor to the team (and his) success? I remember Mac Jones also winning a game when he attempted THREE passes, so clearly he had a better team around him (or better coaching).

Also, it’s not simply a matter of lack of weapons. If you watched Bears games, you’d know the offensive line ain’t good.

Rus has a Super Bowl + 2 Super Bowl appearances
Dak has playoff wins under his belt + not over-reliant on his perimeter weapons

LOL, Dak & Kirk are two sides of the same coin. Dak just happens to accidentally have 1 more playoff win that Kirk does, but that nygga folds like a cheap lawn chair just as bad, if not worse than Cousins does in the biggest moments. They're both literally the same QB: Put up gaudy regular season stats from time to time, force feed their #1 options, and then when they play in Primetime or they happen to play in the playoffs, choke like dogs. Dak might be thought of worse Cousins, since Cowboys games are always on primetime, but they are essentially the same.

Both will probably end up with the same amount of playoff wins when they retire, and both will probably have the same amount of passing yards and TD's. What's hilarious is that Baker Mayfield will probably be in a conference championship game before Dink-N-Dak or Kirk. Who would've thought two years ago when Baker was cut from the Browns, that he would end up being thought of as being better than both those QB's?

I love this move.

For my Chargers :mjlit:

A lot of teams are now going to jump because they know Atlanta isn't going QB this draft (probably a WR like Odunze) and we're an ideal trade down spot. Trade down and grab some really good OL.

Regarding Cousins, dude isn't the type to take a young, growing team far. At this point dude is a QB who needs a great team around him. That is the difference between this situation and the Rams with Stafford who had Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Cooper Kupp, OBJ, Von Miller, etc. Basically a team full of All-Worlders who also got fortunate they didn't have to play an ugly weather football game during the postseason.

Only thing that blows my mind is every QB scenario had a downside/risk….we won’t be able to judge the signing till after the new season. And I’m glad we are not going into the draft hoping to make a QB move, it was going to be a hard task

Top 10 QBs don't lose to Daniel Jones in the playoffs
I have Cousins ranked #19

Mahomes
Lamar
Allen
Burrow
Hurts

Dak
Tua
Herbert
Rodgers
Stafford

Stroud
Lawrence
Purdy
Watson
Goff

Love
Murray
Fields
Cousins

Anthony Richardson, Bryce Young, Russ, Carr, and incoming rookies can easily supplant Cousins

there is no way on gods green eaither are any of those two bottom groups are better than cousins outside of Stroud and maybe Purdy

35, ACL tear and got 4yrs 180mil.

Meanwhile Lamar Jackson had to damn retire to get his deal:patrice:

Not exactly apples to apples but it is interesting.
Lamar's deal is obviously larger and whether people want to admit it or not he wanted to replicate the Watson fully-guaranteed deal.

Apples to oranges when discussing what's basically a B-tier QB deal.
