The same veterans who saw him have 0 td's to 8 int's in 4 straight losses? You think the skill position players want him starting when he can't get them the ball? The locker room doesn't give a damn about him because he sucks. Penix is mobile and can open up the playbook. He gives them the best chance to win and should've been starting weeks ago. Kirk can barely move and hasn't recovered from the Achilles injury.

They should be winning the division outright not needing a Tampa collapse to back into the playoffs.

And Sewell, Surtain II, and Micah. Taking a TE at #4 is insane especially since they were going to need a QB change. Why draft Pitts with no one to throw to him?

The locker room already told reporters that Penix is the best QB on the team weeks ago but some folks are talking like this move will upset the vets :dead:

They probably told Morris to make the switch before they hold a mutiny
Yeah when I heard that players were telling reporters that, I knew Kirko's days were numbered.

All that reverse c00ning Kirk did was for nothing. Swag surf your ass to the bench. :wow:

Kirk is throwing picks from clean pockets. His fall off has nothing to do with his mobility

yeah hes at the point where its time to put him to rest

you don't always see the decline like that but when you do look at marino, troy aikman, peyton manning, donovan mcnabb

Final Year as a starter

Dan Marino age 38- 12 tds and 17 ints
Peyton manning age 39 - 9tds and 17 ints
Donovan mcnabb age 34 - 14 tds and 15 ints
troy aikman age 34 - 7tds and 14 ints
brett favre 41 - 11 tds and 19 picks
matt ryan 37 - 13tds and 14 picks
carson palmer 38 - 9 tds 7 ints

You start throwing a bunch of picks more than you did tds when you never really did before like that. You don't come back from that once you over 34 its done its over.

Figured it was locker room type ordeal. Body language from the WRs after Kirk’s trash throws said all.

You gave the man $100 million guaranteed. Ride the shyt out and let the chips fall. What's the purpose of starting Penix right now? To save your season. That's a tall task to ask a rookie Qb. Or maybe it's to see what you have in Penix? Three games is not enough sample size to see that.

The money is a sunk cost at this point. The GM is on the hot seat and the coach will be on the hot seat next year if we don't win. Would you say the same thing if Kirk was injured because he PHYSICALLY can't perform right now.
But they are 7-7 in the thick of the division race with a manageable last three games. You aren’t doing Penix any favors trying to learn how to play the position at the NFL level at this point in time. I would think the veterans on the team would prefer riding it out with Cousins with a chance at the postseason than an unknown.

Again this makes no sense when we've literally seen other rookies this year come in and play competently. Penix has more experience than everyone save for Bo Nix and he's had time to learn from the sideline. This is only even happening because Kirk has played like ASS the past 5 games. All Penix has to do is hand it off and be able to run playaction with the occasional deep strike and he'd already be giving us more than Kirk.
