Trump was gonna claim Bernie and Warren are socialist and woukd turn the countey into Cuba. Even now they are still pushing Biden is a socialist. Trump wanted to face Bernie. His only hope now is to make Biden look incompetent which is what his whole base is pushing now.

Trump isn't unbeatable. He only won because he was facing HiIlary (same person who lost primary to a newbie Senator and had to cheat to beat a Democratic Socialist).
Having said that the electoral college means it's tougher for a Dem to win than Republican.
Certain states are already marked blue or red.
Bernie's strengths are appealing to those purple states that could go either way. (assuming he ran a more competent campaign in the general)
Looking at Biden, he's a weaker Dem candidate than Senator Kerry was - the only way he wins if Trump hands it to him by going full Trump.

Biden should have kept his mouth shut on having a woman as VP. He's already got 85-90% of the black vote on GP because that's usually the amount that votes Democrat in the general election anyways so he really doesn't need help in that regard.

Elizabeth Warren would probably be a good VP if he insists on having a woman.

The Black vote? Obama already got him that. She is not even the best option in her state. Gavin Newsome seems more presidential. They really don't want Sanders anywhere near the White House. He actually gets Biden more votes if they ran together.

The Dark Horse is Hilary Clinton. I've been saying for years it would be HER. Maybe they go for someone who did not run in the primaries, because they would be able to use what was said in the debates in attack ads against Biden.
