Ivey make the same mistakes Hayes and Cade make but he gets the quick hook, the fans see the bullshyt

I've really been paying attention. Every game Ivey plays 22 minutes. Despite the flow of the game Monty will pull him out at the exact same time.

One game Ivey was killing it off the bench with his open court speed and penetration in half court. Monty takes him out as scheduled in the 4th and we lose the game

That was the pelicans game, I was very angry at that, Ivey brought us back in the game

No one really wants to say it but Monty's a great guy and not a good basketball coach

I haven't understood the need for them to bench Ivey either. Still has all the potential in the world and didn't have a bad rookie season at all. The only way he will learn how to play through his faults and to commit to defense is to be out there on the floor. Pistons do have a decent core though with Cade and Jalen and need some vets to teach them how to win.

He reminds me of Hedo Turkgulu but smaller. I think he can be part of a winning team but I am not sure he is that winning teams #1 or even #2. Especially as he is learning bad habits as a #1 on a crap team.

Monty talking about it’s his job to teach them good habits would imply he had some vets in front of them they were forced to emulate to get minutes. Either you get great talent to turn it around like OKC and ORL or you got to teach the kids good habits by mixing them in with the right vets like the Knicks and Rockets did.

I don’t think Detroit is doing a version of the process, but they might have to do a reset on these kids and ship some of them out, for more picks or better fitting vets. Also it wouldn’t hurt them to outright tank…..
They have some vets but they need vets starting. Like start Bogs and Harris when Healthy. They’re both great off the ball scorers and should be complementary to Cades skillset

So you got the Silas twins on the Pistons bench :whew:

Bogdanovic injury was described as ‘day to day’ first week of preseason and that became months long injury, weaver has a history of lying about injuries so it wouldn’t surprise me if the injuries are fake/exaggerated. Don’t know what we’d be tanking for, there’s a limit of young players one team can have

I mean it’s good he has pride but Detroit needs to figure out if he is their #1 option and if not how to get that player, and maybe trading him is part of that process.
He clearly is. Idk why he’s getting so much shyt. This is essentially his 2nd year.
