Pistons play a brand of ball (especially on the defensive end) that eats up soft teams like the Knicks. Towns weak ass is not rooting out Duren on the glass and Tobias has the size to deal with Towns being a 7 foot 3-ball shooter.

Cade will torch Brunson to negate whatever Brunson does on offense. You can sick Twin on Bridges...or OG...and Tim is a capable defender.

Playoffs are all about match-ups...as we know.
Why would JB guard Cade lol?

Listen bro it’s all fun and games until Robinson and Hart are pounding you on the glass and Brunson is scoring at will in the 4Q.

Playoff Brunson is a thing, for all we know Cade could fold under the bright lights

Beautiful turnaround. JB helped them find their identity again. I think Cade was gonna make his ascension regardless, but the coach and gm weren't doing him any favors, surrounding him with wack vets and non NBA quality players. Look what a difference some competent vets and a coach that actually gives a fukk makes:ohhh:

They’re overachieving. They’re like Orlando was last year. I expect them to regress a bit next season.
Imagine calling Detroit a "try hard" team when you have 3 high 1st rounders coming into their own (Cade, Duren and Ausar), a proven utility swing forward (Tobias) and a proven shooter/scorer (THJ)...:skip:

Nobody is playing out of their body...maybe Beasley...everyone else is just playing to their ability and Detroit's young players (even Holland) continue to get better.

They’ll have Ivey back. And you got to expect the young core to grow some more.

Only issue I really foresee potentially is hopefully Bickerstaff grows along with the core.Bickerstaff also did well his first season with the Cavs then the growth for the Cavs stopped. They pretty much peaked under Bickerstaff expeditiously. I don’t want him to be the treadmill coach like Nate Macmillan. The team was looking mid until the injury forced him to start a shooter next to Cade. What happens to the Pistons once his preaching effort and defense is at its capacity. Before he left the Cavs he was complaining constantly about how they did everything they could. Atkins came and made minor tweaks that transformed them. Bickerstaff hasn’t shown the ability to get creative for solving problems. Very tactically limited.
