Imagine calling Detroit a "try hard" team when you have 3 high 1st rounders coming into their own (Cade, Duren and Ausar), a proven utility swing forward (Tobias) and a proven shooter/scorer (THJ)...:skip:

Nobody is playing out of their body...maybe Beasley...everyone else is just playing to their ability and Detroit's young players (even Holland) continue to get better.
People were saying the same about Orlando, we'll see :sas2:

All the BS and disrespect JB Bickerstaff got last season because of his time on the Cavaliers. Now everyone is quiet on dissing him this season

He deserves to be Coach of the Year in 2025

They’ll have Ivey back. And you got to expect the young core to grow some more.

Only issue I really foresee potentially is hopefully Bickerstaff grows along with the core.Bickerstaff also did well his first season with the Cavs then the growth for the Cavs stopped. They pretty much peaked under Bickerstaff expeditiously. I don’t want him to be the treadmill coach like Nate Macmillan. The team was looking mid until the injury forced him to start a shooter next to Cade. What happens to the Pistons once his preaching effort and defense is at its capacity. Before he left the Cavs he was complaining constantly about how they did everything they could. Atkins came and made minor tweaks that transformed them. Bickerstaff hasn’t shown the ability to get creative for solving problems. Very tactically limited.
No, they start hitting their stride once Ausar was inserted into the starting lineup. Defense took a massive jump. THJ and Ivey were already starting with Cade. And Ivey was shooting over 40% from 3 for the year. Ausar coming in and plugging defensive holes raised the level of the entire defense.

I've heard people outside of teams talk about JB eventually grating on players, but I don't know if I've ever heard players say anything about him. My biggest worry was his offensive sets and creativity, but so far this season I've seen nothing to too show that it's an ongoing issue. Maybe it's his coaching staff that has added some offensive ingenuity, or maybe he's actually improved. From the outside looking in he seemed to get a raw deal and a overly exaggerated bad rap for the Cleveland situation. Whatever it is, so far, in this early stage with the Pistons he seems like a perfect fit and only time will tell if that continues to be true.

Happy for the Pistons . JB deserves COTY.

But the east is so bad, so many teams are outright tanking . The play in teams are already set and everything:bryan:

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
J.B's one of the best developmental coaches in the league.

It's something the Pistons have been in desperate need of for a while to get up off the ground and not be perpetually stuck in the lottery. That along with Cade developing into a star, and it's no surprise they've had such a drastic turnaround. Shoutout to Beasley too for having an arguably career-year.
Shut up bytch, Detroit doesn't need your commentary or you as a fan. Stay the fukk away from our home team. Let that nikka know @Detroit Wave @wire28

Denver and Milwaukee been giving away quality players to the rest of the league for years now but people keep giving em grace because they have MVP superstars to carry them

Those front offices gonna get put on blast soon tho
