Fair point. I agree fans in places like Philly and NYC can be toxic as hell and irrational. But they emotionally invested in the team even when they ass, which is where the negativity is rooted. They got passionate fanbases. A lot of smaller market teams got passionate fanbases too. But if you in San Diego or Tampa and the team is ass for 10 years, you not getting negativity, you getting apathy.

I used to think like this. But then decades of watching mediocre Chicago sports got me realizing there is no loyalty and these owners are fine with fielding weak teams as long as the money flows in and you remain irrationally positive about the outlook of the team.

Fans should maybe be more critical of ownership and executives because if they aren't these people don't have any problems putting out a trash product year after year and trying to convince us they're making a championship run with DeMar DeRozan as the first option.
