I don't know if they'd do it, but I think there's a way to get to this. Particularly if Punk's status is still up in the air.

I don't understand why they didn't just go with Omega as their inaugural champ. While Jericho is their most famous guy and believe me, Jericho is one of my favorites. He's high-key the greatest at adapting his character and I'm sure he still has it on the mic but time has finally caught up to him. He looks washed and I wonder why he refuses the shirt, it's time to accept the shirt, Jericho. Hangman Page is fine wrestler but even on the indies he's a stableboy and mid-carder at best and everyone knows it no matter how much they try to hotshot him.

As fans..... sometimes we too picky and put these feds in a bad situation.

If they went with Kenny or Cody then it would be “they going the HHH/JJ route” complaints

If they put an “at the time” non signed talent in the match then it’s “their idiots for pushing guys not on their roster” complaint

If they put other guys in that match that no one really knows like a Joey Janelo then it’s “why they pushing these nobodies” complaint.

I not sure there are many other options that would get less complaints or would work better

That title run wasn't successful because of the booking (coughTripleHcough). He was putting on great matches with Austin/Rock and the ratings were great. Then HHH came back and he turned into Stephanie's sidekick.

I don’t think he should have been their first champ either but he’s certainly one of the only choices they realistically had to go with it and they’ve been building it since Day 1.

It was a split crowd during him vs Kip Sabian. He wasn't more over than Jungleboy or MJF in the fatal fourway match. Not sure what you're hearing
