No they haven’t. The narrative hasn’t been set because the details were unclear. If they want to take the safe route they can stress that it was a far right pro second amendment republican that shot him and stress the need for gun control.

The fact that so many people think it’s a conspiracy theory lets you know that we as a society no longer trust anything. At this point, the election will be decided by turnout - no one is being swayed. If Trump is viewed as just another normal, legitimate electoral opponent in a routine Presidential election, then sure, best wishes, speedy recovery, hope he gets back on his feet and gives us a good contest. But then you have to drop the American fascism playbook. You simply cannot have it both ways.
