It's established in AEW as Hangman's specialty match (he has beaten Mox and Adam Cole in such settings), and there's a clear path for Hangman to demand such a match as well as for Swerve to accept it in order to decisively collect a debt and double down on his current superiority over Hangman.

Well, from what I gathered of Swerve's promo, he has taken it there because after beating Hangman, Hangman then cost Swerve a match with Danielson -- by thwarting his attempts to cheat and ruining his focus -- where the winner would have gotten a TNT title match.

So this is a case where the heel proved his point and tried to leave well enough alone but the face stuck his nose in business that wasn't his to be concerned with. Swerve may be in the right.

I don't condone how he's going about matters obviously but he may be in the right.
