If it makes them feel better more power to emI’ll never understand how in 2021 people still believe in God and heaven and hell and all that bulllshyt. I grew up in a heavily religious household, indoctrinated in it from birth and I still figured out it was nonsense by the time I turned 13. You still have grown adults and unfortunately some in my family who still believe this shyt. I honestly don’t get it.
maybe bcuz they literally place themselves on a pulpit/elevated stage while claiming to spread the word of god
I’m not gonna pretend to be bothered by it but let’s not act as if many of them present themselves as “equals” to their parishioners
Tax free money at that…he says his money comes from books iono if I believe that. They knowingly gave him their money..
Jesus would say that ain’t none of his business and quit pocket watching.
Luke 12:13, 14 - Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you two?”
The Parable of the Rich Fool
13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
16 And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’
20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
he playing with the word.

Matthew 19:24
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
My thing is: are mega church pastors not supposed to live lavish and buy things?
that guys church is HUGE AF. And its a business.
Not direct at JO, but it seems that as a community we think all pastors should be sworn to a life of modesty.
