The movie felt like a pulled punch to me. Never did enough to fully feel like a movie. I enjoyed elements but overall I can’t say I liked this movie cause it just felt incomplete or unsatisfying. Funny enough it’s kinda like the meals they are clowning in the film in a way

Loved it. I saw that documentary on the nordic dude who would have people eating bugs, moss and shyt he found in the woods for thousands of dollars and to see a movie shyt on that culture was hilarious. What's funny is people who enjoy that culture really liked it so you know it got it right.

That's dope. I consider myself a foodie but I'm more of a street food kinda person. I find the 12 course meal type places to be pretentious and I'm still hungry after lol. I traveled to the 2 culinary capitals of Latin America last year for food.

Really dope, I do that too. But, I would encourage you, to try some Michelin and tasting menus. Pretense and pretentiousness are like meaningless, in some ways. Isn't it just as pretentious to suggest that only eating "real food" or street food is better, or realer than Michelin style dining?

I'll eat street tacos off a truck in Mazatlan, and wash my hands in 5 gallon bucket n the floor, and I'll order the tasting menu at a 1 Star Michelin place in Cannes, France. It's all dope, and it's all a great experience.

I've been to 11 Madison Park in Manhattan, Quince in San Francisco, it;s just a different level of dining, but doesn't mean I won't eat a In N Out Burger, or a shrimp tostada from a shack in Tijuana.

Am I the only one who thought the trope of 'the cheeseburger' was corny?

It's been a trump card used against pretentious foodies since the inception of that world, and it did nothing to elevate that joke. It's the equivalent of a hip-hop film satirizing backpackers, and then using Rapper's Delight to defeat the final boss.

yeah, that's why i said i like most of the movie, but the ending felt empty (but still fell in line with the movie).
