According to Slam Wrestling, Sammy Guevara was booked for an angle with Impact Wrestling, but he complained about the creative direction. This caused the entire angle to be pulled.

It was reported that “Impact’s first take on things was rejected but a second idea was given the greenlight by Khan.” Then on the day of the show, Guevara complained and Impact Wrestling had to contact Chris Jericho and Tony Khan about it.

Plans were made to shoot the angle the next day but Impact received a message directly from Guevara complaining about the creative direction. Impact in turn contacted Khan and Jericho with this news. Jericho reached out to Impact Executive Vice-President Don Callis about banning Guevara from Impact’s premises.

It was reported that plans were made to shoot the angle with Impact Wrestling, and then Sammy Guevara complained about the creative direction. When Sammy Guevara showed up in Nashville to tape the segment he received a message from Chris Jericho telling him to go back home.

Now “AEW management is apparently concerned that Guevara’s actions may have possibly hurt their relationship with Impact Wrestling.” We will keep a close eye on this story.

PW Insider has confirmed that Guevara was set to work a short storyline at the Impact Wrestling tapings this past Tuesday through Thursday. This would have played off of Guevara quitting the Inner Circle.

The first issue was the fact that Guevara rescheduled his travel to arrive just before the tapings.

Multiple sources indicate that AEW and Impact worked out the plans but that Guevara did not fly to Nashville the day before the tapings scheduled and rescheduled himself to arrive in Nashville just a few hours before the tapings would begin.

Everyone agreed to the angle, but then Guevara started texting “alternate ideas” and he didn’t want to do what they agreed to. At that point, Impact Wrestling officials nixed Guevara from the tapings.

Sammy Guevara was slated to work this past week's Impact Wrestling TV tapings but was pulled from the tapings, SlamWrestling.net reported. PWInsider.com has confirmed with Impact sources that the story is accurate.

The original plan was Guevara to work a short storyline at the tapings that began this past Tuesday through Thursday playing off Guevara quitting the Inner Circle. Multiple sources indicate that AEW and Impact worked out the plans but that Guevara did not fly to Nashville the day before the tapings scheduled and rescheduled himself to arrive in Nashville just a few hours before the tapings would begin.

Impact sources also indicated that although everyone had agreed to the planned ideas, Guevara began texting Impact officials about alternative ideas and "not wanting to do what was agreed to." At that point, Impact officials canceled Guevara off the tapings. Slam's story states that Guevara has heat with AEW officials over the matter and that Chris Jericho informed him to fly back home after Guevara landed in Nashville on Tuesday's afternoon.

We are told that the majority of what had been planned for Guevara saw Decay's Black Taurus utilized in that role instead.

Impact sources reiterated there was no issue with AEW at all and the relations between the two sides are "golden."

Jericho got him banned from the premises....what?

The way it's worded, it seems as if Impact had pulled Guevara's name from everything and locked him out of the building before he arrived, and Jericho was trying to figure out what the hell happened. If that isn't what happened, then whoever wrote that needs to brush up on his writing skills, because anything else wouldn't really make a lot of sense.

Regardless, Sammy needs to learn how to navigate these business relationships and locker rooms better. I figure that this might be just a combination of ignorance and ego, but too much of it and no one's going to want to deal with him in the future.

Debut? You must mean seeing Okado returning to Impact after being exiled to Japan to win the Impact Title :troll:

Jericho knows Callis. Makes sense.

No it doesn't. As written, Sammy agreed then didn't agree to creative then showed up to do it and then.....Chris Jericho stepped in and banned him from Impact's building? How does Jericho have the authority to do this? WHY would Jericho do this to his own boy that he's personally taken under his wing? Jericho's not even involved in this TNA shyt and surely has no position or authority to ban a talent from a company he's not even working for nor their building. None of that makes sense.

“Makes sense”

:russ:

Him calling to ban Sammy? Why wouldn’t he just call Sammy and tell him not to show up. Story sounds stupid af or it’s written badly

I didn’t read the potential storyline. Figured Callis could’ve been involved in it.

Even not knowing what they pitched

From a storyline stand point why would Sammy give a shyt about doing anything on Impact after leaving Inner Circle?
