PC is dope but not dope enough to replace a console.

This generation has narrowed the gap with PCs considerably. I've been a PC gamer for a long time but the Series X is just so easy it's hard to go back.

No it hasn't, the series X is got up to PC performance from 4 years ago

it can't even run Yakuza like Dragon in 4k at 60fps with medium PC settings, you have to go all the way to 1080p for 60fps and that's not a next gen game, how is it gonna run next gen games in 4k with high performance, it won't, you will need a PC for that

Thats has more to do with segas terrible dragon engine optimization. A game like yakuza not hitting 4k/60fps isn’t any indication of the power of a console it’s the incompetence of sega.

There will be plenty of games this gen that look better and run better than yakuza, there already are.

Also gaming on PC and consoles have always been kind a fundamentally different experiences.

Imagine gaming on PC last gen and not getting to experience GOT or GOW, or Halo 5 or and Legend of Zelda.

The PC has always had a void that was impossible to fill because of exclusives. Granted with gamepass the lines are becoming super blurred and basically finally becoming one. (There is still some variances)

But PC gamers back in the day had there Fallout and's warcrafts and shooters, and console gamers had there mario's and street fighters and Legend of dragoons.

And ports always sucked.

Now ports are better but they just come so much later if they do come it's like ehhh just get a console or pc in the mean time.

And regardless of what anyone says setting up a pc no matter how simple is much more of an investment and time than getting a console and plugging it up to a tv and playing.

I had a ps4 pro and PC at the same time, wasn't missing much with God of War, beat it once never played it again

I liked GOT and I will play it again once its on PC because all games are coming to PC eventually, there's very few games that aren't on PC that are on consoles

Horizon Zero Dawn on PC is way better than it was on ps4, Especially since you can play it at 120fps

I though the PC shyt was all hype until I broke down and got one, and there's no turning back, it's not a comparison, pretending like it is, pure delusion

It can run Watch Dogs Legion in 4k at 60fps either, and that's not a next gen game either

it can run any demanding games in 4k 60fps, its on par with a 2080 super, which struggles running games in 4k 60fps but at least you can turn down settings to get that mark, can't do at Xbox

Just say you don't care about performance and leave it at, if you care, you need a PC, it's not debatable

Optimization is only relevant on PC

we're talking about consoles, so if consoles which games are developed for then ported over to PC have bad optimization, what the hell is the point of buying a console

If they can't get high performance out of these games what makes you think consoles will handle high performance for new games which will be more demanding

Horizon Zero Dawn 2 will have dynamic resolution and be 30fps lmao

If you're gonna be a PC owner you're gonna have to learn to troubleshoot. It sucks but it's helped me learn way more about PC's(and to an extent, electronics).

I primarily game on PC, all my friends do too. It is what it is. :yeshrug:

Consoles are great for plug n play, I don't mind troubleshooting. Will admit I dislike upgrading my MOBO or changing my case so I try to future proof as much as possible there.

Edit: Not gonna read thread outside of OP cause im sure its the same talking points of "I like plug and play" "my friends have it" "I don't wanna troubleshoot" "I like sitting on my couch" which are all valid reasons to enjoy what you enjoy. That being said, PC gang gang gang gang I'll bring smoke to nikkas for fun.

Yep pc def has it downs sometimes, but I don't care enough to have a console again.. there's just no reason (unless a ton of exclusives roll thru and my interest in them is high enough)

Been on PC since late 2015. This gen i will 100% be on PC/PS5. I just need to upgrade my PC. I don't see how anyone could only be PC, or a only console owner. The pro's outweighs the cons on PC. Especially if you have a console to fall back on. I absolutely agree that PC fukkboi's act like there's no problems on PC. I don't even engage if one of them talk that bs.

PC:
Mods - Most underrated feature on PC. It legit breath's new life into some games. If it wasn't for QOL improvement mods on certain games i wouldn't have finished them. TW3 for example. I had fast travel anywhere mod from the very beginning. Same with RDR2 (fast travel anywhere) but i stll dropped that.

Graphical settings - Not just Performance OR Fidelity. You can tweak specifically to your liking. Find the perfect balance, or if your rig is powerful enough just max it out. One thing i noticed on PC as opposed to console is even if you drop to the same exact settings as console. PC STILL looks more crisp/has a sharper image (console image looks softer). Also PC has less input lag.

It's a PC so it's not just for gaming
Free online - It doesn't compare to console's online imo though
Emulate games - Switch games for example could be played at 4k
Use any controller of your choice

Console:
Plug & Play, simple as that
Day 1 Exclusives (at least for PS)
Better online (PSN & XBN does go down sometimes though)

@Master Teacher I do have a 3070 dummy and I’m having issues and my shyt is stuttering.

on every game

stop it, you clearly don't know how PC gaming works, also you can go into the settings and uninstall the update

did you update your NVIDIA drivers, whenever there's a problem with a GPU its usually the Game ready driver that hasn't been updated did you even check geforce experience app

99 percent of people aren't having this problem, I got a 3080
