Nah. Inconsistent testimony. The shell casing allegedly werent even in the street. They were in neighboring yards. Also the story of him beating on Kelsey doesnt add up because witnesses saw 2 women fighting. People in the courtroom werent moved at all by Meg's council's opening statements or the detective's testimony. Allegedly Tory's lawyers exposed that they cut corners. Didnt document or label the event's correctly when they cross examined the detective and he actually had to admit it. Basically the whole shyt is a mess currently.

People look at this and see what they want to see. That's how these kinds of cases are tried in the court of public opinion.

Serious, career officials have to sign off on these things. If they didn't have a valid case, it would never have made it this far. Even if they lose, it doesn't mean it's not a valid case. The jury doesn't always get it right. Juries are full of average Americans.

A detective team takes it to a line prosecutor, who takes it to her team leader, who takes it to her section chief, in a high profile case, it gets approved at the level of the actual elected District Attorney.

These people didn't just decide to help out Meg, risk their careers to further some kind of women's agenda. Its laughable to a reasonable person.

The fallout from losing a case like this, is worse than not bringing it. You can't put a "fake case" together and try it in front of a jury. You'll lose. San Diego DA just rejected a GANG RAPE case, that had a lot of evidence, but they didn't have it. It's a national news story.

If this is a bad case, Tory's lawyer will wipe it out, but I really really doubt that. There's no doubt these cases make careers, but also, this isn't a federal case, it's not nearly as political. A lot of prosecutors are career, they aren't going to white collar law firms.

Tory also probably didn't go with a great lawyer, the guy's younger, and has a reputation for personal injury cases lol
