i believe there’s genuine excitement and enthusiasm surrounding kamala, since she’s younger than biden and has an exuberance he lacked. she’s also transformative, being a woman of color, which many people find inspiring.

but, much of the energy is a feeling of relief, a release of the tension and angst that had collected over the terrifying prospect we were facing a losing battle against america’s hitler.
