NBA Needs to Move the Pistons out of Detroit

Sorry but that shyt is unforgivable. Move the Franchise to Seattle.

Funny thing is the Pistons are considered a storied Franchise like the Bulls, Lakers, Knicks, Celtics but their fanbase doesn't reflect it at all.

This. It's not like they have been mediocre for decades. Detroit needs to stop being bandwagoners and support their squad. If they had their fan's support they would play harder and likely have at least 5 more wins and a higher seeding.

Nah if the team was worth watching people would come. Blame Joe Dumars for killing Detroit basketball. The team is still stuck in a state of mediocrity, can't attract good FAs, and can't draft.

When the Sixers were in full tank mode, they would still occasionally attract damn near sellouts

These midwestern towns besides Chicago are garbage. Unless you have a diehard fan base no team will have full support out there unless it’s Hockey Baseball and Football.

The Midwest is like the south they don’t care.

It's very similar to the south. Full of conservative, corn fed white boys who only care about football. The midwest is the south without the accents and humid weather.

But in Detroits case, maybe a lot of people just dont have the $$$ to attend sporting events like that. NFL is once a week. MLB and NHL is for rich suburbanites

The Spurs are very popular in South Texas but ever seen the crowd at a spurs game? Empty seats every single game. The cash flow simply isnt there in certain markets.

Pistons moving to downtown wasn't some thing everyone knew about for a couple years like most arena buildups have

this was the red wings arena for years and the pistons were added to it last spring.

If you expect the suburban season ticket holders to drive to detroit and not think they have a sour taste in their mouth from the pistons leaving the palace abrupt as hell...youre crazy

if you expect people closer to Detroit to pay overpriced tickets for a Direction and identityless organization who drafts white guys who dont play defense while constantly preaching defense but you passed up donovan mitchell when he EXPECTED TO BE A PISTON...you're crazy.

The pistons currently are the only organization in the NBA with championship predigree and DNA who've lost all of their identity to an owner from michigan but living in LA and a bum in SVG whos act is more than tired now.
