It sucks that Microsoft isn’t trying to compete in the gaming space anymore. But the writings were on the wall with the Bethesda and Activision deal. It’s a good business move gamepass on Xbox platforms and sell physical and digital games on PlayStation and Nintendo switch.

Your definition of competing in the game space is fighting Sony on terms Sony defined. Their definition of competing in the game space is trying to be bigger than Tencent in gaming.

Personally if they kick off a future where you can buy the games you want on the platforms you choose that’s great for everyone.

The Xbox and PlayStation are literally using the same processor and we still can’t just buy any game on any platform and play it as we choose.

I get it but you run the risk of Sony upping the price of consoles since majority of people will buy a PS5 console over Xbox. The idea of having on company doing console opens a can of worms of fukkery.
