Game Pass as an overall part of our content and services revenue is probably 15 percent,” he told The Journal’s Sarah Needleman. “I don’t think it gets bigger than that. I think the overall revenue grows so 15 percent of a bigger number, but we don’t have this future where I think 50 to 70 percent of our revenue comes from subscriptions.”

It’s like they say stuff, y’all play dumb like you don’t understand it so you can set up and argue against your own dumb ass argument.

As always it’s you goofies making up the strawman to slap down. Not even microsoft has claimed subscriptions will be the most dominant part of their own gaming business, let alone the entire industry.

Argue with yourself brehs :mjlol:

everytime xbox fails to do something yall reply with “oh well that wasn’t part of the plan anyway”

Last generation they couldn’t sell games: “its not about games anymore”

They stopped selling consoles: “its not about console sales”

Subscriptions flatlined: “it was never about subscription numbers”

Sony (and Nintendo) are the gaming equivalent of McDonald's & Chick-Fil-A. Regardless of any fear mongering and doomsday prophecies, they aren't going anywhere. Millions know what they are getting with them, and while they both offer wildly different products, they have an established consumer base that will always be back for another helping of whatever they're serving, whether or not Joe from work is in their ear every other day telling them that the grass is greener & the food is better elsewhere. Every other company is fighting for that third place when that slot inevietably opens after the naive & aspirational contender taps out like everyone else before them.

Microsoft came in with the Xbox 360 like Popeyes when they kicked the doors in with new chicken sandwich, but they will end up like KFC. This has been the cycle of console gaming for the last 25+ years. The two constants have not changed. They aren't just consoles at this point -- they're symbolic & cultural to the overwhelming vast majority of gamers worldwide. Everyone else gets to fight over the scraps for a couple of generations before they concede they're fighting a losing battle and another hopeful emerges. Rinse. Repeat. This won't change in your lifetimes.

This is who’s running xbox

There needs to be a new word for something being even more ironic than necessary

Always hated this statement. Xbox division is drowning under his watch while claiming buying Nintendo is within the realm of possibility and your dream moment. Dude has his heat up his ass so far he can hear his heart beating.

They should have taken a page from Nintendo and invested in making good, first party titles. Instead we got the Forza turd, Redfall meme, Craig, and admitting starfield wasn't gonna move the needle. :francis:

The hubris they have simply because they are owned by Microsoft is the most disgusting part
