They’ve been releasing major console exclusives on playstation since at least 2014.
What major console exclusive Xbox games like Indiana Jones were being released on PlayStation a decade ago? They were releasing pre-existing PlayStation games from companies they bought that were not console exclusive like Minecraft.

lol @ you trying to downplay the clear shift to third party with no sacred cow games. This isn’t we bought Call of Duty and going forward it will continue on PlayStation it’s going forward look for our new games to release on PlayStation too. Starfield was pulled from PlayStation development. Indiana Jones and The Outer Worlds 2 were not.

Before the Bethesda purchase microsoft wouldn’t even have a game like IJ.

The official word of the bethesda purchase was

https://onmsft.com/news/microsoft-to-release-future-bethesda-games-on-other-consoles-on-a-case-by-case-basis/#:~:text=Microsoft%20CEO%20Satya%20Nadella%20and%20Xbox%20head%20Phil,games%20to%20other%20consoles%20“on%20a%20case-by-case%20basis.”

Future games, like Starfield, will be available for Xbox, PC and Microsoft’s Game Pass video-game service. “We’ll take other consoles on a case-by-case basis,” Spencer said.

Nadella said Microsoft may consider releasing games on other platforms in the future. “When we think about strategy whether it’s in gaming or any other part of Microsoft, each layer has to stand on its own for what it brings. When we talk about our content we want our content to be broadly available.”

Industry is so drunk on console wars this was met with a flurry of cac tweets and commentary denying microsoft’s actual words.

You goofies decided to ignore what dude been saying for a decade then act surprised everytime they say, or do what they said they would.

Like dude has said this same thing like half a dozen times over the last year or so, and EVERYTIME. There’s a bunch of you acting like you are surprised about it

Give me 5 exclusive games since 2014 that have been released on. PlayStation.

You cannot use any games that were in development by a company before MSFT bought them
I’m not playing dumb games with you breh. You literally said the same thing as me in another thread.

you said:
Nah. I'm talking from a perspective that I saw coming as soon as Quantum Break was announced day and date on PC. Not from a fanboy one.

Then Gamepass announcing day and date for 1st party exclusives. That conditioned some gamers not to buy games.

Then the acquisition of publishers (not studios). Buying Zenimax with all of their IP just to make exclusives? That was never going to happen. Then the ABK deal. Fanboys were frothing at the mouth about making COD exclusive. While I said that, why would MSFT pay 70 billion to make ABK exclusive games. Brehs must've forgotten about Mojang.

There are more examples but the writing has been on the wall. Especially with what Satya and the CFO have been saying to investors

Now you wanna argue the point you made yourself with me:stopitslime:

Exclusives went out the "Window" as soon as day and date on PC.
Yet gamers are here in 2024 talking about console exclusives.

Except now, it's only not an exclusive if it's not on another console instead of PC.

Timed exclusives on Xbox platforms is more than enough for people who actually game.

And you see more "Sony published" titles on other platforms as well.

Get with the times :manny:
I don't see The Last of Us or Uncharted on Xbox but Indiana Jones has a release date on PlayStation. That has some level of meaning beyond the false equivalency you seem to want to do with PC.

It's fairly obvious opening the floodgates to the PS platform wasn't their first option and a failure in the original plan lead to this outcome. Had things gone differently we wouldn't be seeing this.

It's ok to admit they failed. It's ok to admit business decisions have rendered their platform moot.

Should be easy.
It’s a dumb ass question.

By their own words microsoft bought all those studios specifically to expand their reach outside of the traditional xbox console and games

IJ was in development before microsoft purchased bethesda. In order for a playstation port to have a release date, this decision had to be made a LONG time ago, But somehow that counts in yall goofy ass semantics game :stopitslime:

So the game yall using to try to prove your point doesn’t even fit the criteria you set forth for your dumb ass question. :wow:

I’m thinking about that game pass fire stick deal with the controller through Amazon. I gave my Xbox away a few years ago but gamepass was decent for a few games
