Not necessarily and according to who? How many in the motherland identify as black first and not tribe first then by country? If it’s the majority then why is there so much tribal beef on the continent? The same could be said about all the intra island beef in the Caribbean. You can’t forget while true we are all of the same race, there is still a very strong contingent of the dispora who views blackness as an ethnic identifier for black Americans.

Are you really going to use something as simple as conflict and strife as indicators of what black is? There's always been inner conflict among black folk that all fit under "ADOS". That doesn't mean either side of the arguers would not be black. I answered this first response in the thread. If either of your parents are black...you black, b. You can also be whatever other race/culture that you're mixed with, or religion you're raised under, traditions, nationality, etc. You're still....Black.

In real life, my family are Democrats so I’m sure they’re happy that she’s part Jamaican and in the position she’s in. I don’t think my dad cares because he’s republican even though I don’t know who he voted for this year.

We never spoke of politics when I was younger. Plus it’s funny you would call him a c00n when he married my mother who is very much a black militant and told us to never bring a white person into her home

My Father married only black women, fathered only black children, supports black business, invests in black companies, supports black causes, but when it comes to his money and his religious beliefs, he leans more republican. He’s not going to vote Democrat just because. Their policies need to align with his in order to get his vote. That’s how it is. I doubt he voted for Trump because he thinks Trump is a racist. Actually he thinksmost White people are racist. I just don’t know if he voted for Biden or if he cares about Kamala having Jamaican heritage.
