Do anybody know at least one younger Black boomer, say below 65, that's retired, or even has plans to retire anytime soon. Now let me really make this question hard. Only include single Black men, who didn't have to retire into a room, or have to move in with a relative. I can answer that. "Only Me". All jokes aside, I know there's more, but I can't think of one. I'll probably have to go online, and join a group, to find that.

Tbh, it's good to see any Black boomers still alive these days, including young Black boomers, male or female, and even better to see them reach retirement age...this includes early retirement age. It seems a lot of Black boomers already had at least one mild stroke or one mild heart attack. Real talk. What kinda retirement is that. That's if the job even grants it. It's not uncommon these days to see people have strokes and heart attacks, etc.., and still be denied disability retirement.

The oldest people in our generation are 27. What do you think we should’ve done by now?
Tupac died at 25 and recorded hundreds of songs, videos, movies, interviews, inspired millions and became the GOAT of a music genre. Dude who posted y'all are lazy was right. :rudy:

By saying that you essentially saying they did nothing to contribute to society in any meaningful way.
No.
What I'm doing is not ignoring the generational effects of white supremacy.
And what all occurred from 1940 to 1950.

Many Black men fought to even be recognized AS MEN during this period.
During that same period, they would be shipped off to fight in wars then called
a N***er when they came home.
Pushed out of opportunities to move into the growing manufacturing space.
Forced into slums.
A lot fukking happened to the Silent and Boomer Generation before we even get to Gen
X and Millenials.

And I absolutely fukking refuse to endorse an ahistorical take that gives an entire nation
of white supremacists a pass.

Not saying there weren't any, but I never seen a Black male boomer who was married, who got divorced, and ever get back on his feet. Same for the silent generation for that matter. How come I don't hear many people talking about this. I guess it's because a lot of them are no longer here...more than I realize. That's why I'm glad I never went to any of those class reunions recently. I heard so many have passed on...I'm talking about my young boomer classmates. I understand they have their pictures on a wall at these class reunions, and they have a moment of silence for them. I don't know how they still have a good time after that, but they manage I guess. I know there's many more who transitioned that I don't even know about, since I haven't been to one since my 10 year class reunion. A lot of the class didn't even make it thru their 50's.

A buddy of mine who went to one a few years ago, who had a stroke himself, told me he found out this slim very shy girl had passed away. I remember she was in the 11th, and I was in the 12th. She was so sweet, she never even spoke to anybody. But people could easily tell she was always having lovely thoughts. She almost reminded of a Black female version of the cartoon character Ralph Phillips, the little boy who was alway smiling in class, and dozing off into a peaceful dream...except this sweet girl never dozed off. One time I turned around, and caught her smiling and looking right into my eyes...and she didn't turn away. She was very cute too. When my buddy told me she passed away, I couldn't remember who she was at first, until I looked her up in my year yearbook. That tore me up. I know there's probably more like her who passed on, and can't remember their name. So for those who still think attacking the Black boomers, young and old, is the way to go, evidently they've always been under attack.

I don't think the White boomers are experiencing this at the same level, especially the younger White boomers.

I mentioned the silent generation in my post above. Tbh, that generation wasn't exactly anything to write home about either, especailly when they got older. Sometimes I see why they called them silent. I guess just like all the other generations, they had good qualities, and not very good qualities.

Gen Z is the generation that saw the shyt is hopeless, the system is broken and the people in charge are the ones benefiting the most from it. Millennials still thought if we played the game the right way we could still move up the ladder.

You say Gen Z acts like the world owes them something. Well guess what, previous generations used to have it as a goal to make things better for the following generation. The Boomers broke that promise, they sucked up all the resources left to them and then pulled up the ladder so nobody else could benefit. Every dollar that was out there to benefit society they have systemically taken out and put back into their own pockets and continue to do so. They are by far the most damaging generation to American society.

Boomers are literally dying in public office because they don’t want to release the stranglehold.
Millennials graduated high school and where hit with a large economic crash (Dot Com Bubble) older millennials were in work force during 9/11 and Iraq war. Then younger millennials graduate college and were hit with an even larger economic crash 08-10…by the time things stabilized the older Gen Z was entering the work force…

Gen Z and millennials both experienced covid during active earning years. While boomers were able to retire and Gen X at the end of employment or well into their careers

Millennials have had it worse than Gen Z as they are in late thirties still needing. Things to go right just like Gen Z AND had to deal with TWO crashes during earning years (if enter work force after high school or late millennial )

Also Millennials have Boomers as parents and that’s ALOT worse than having Gen X as parents as most Boomers are selfish weirdos

Gen X might not have as much money to pass down but a lot of Boomer parents are giving away their wealth NOT to their kids … Also more millennials went to college (debt) than Gen Z as that was more of a trend 1998-2O12 meaning more debt and less success and more devastating events to go through

So BOTH Gen Z and Millennials have to deal with the current bullshyt but only millennials had to go through 3 economic devastating events during adulthood 18+…Gen Z was is elementary school and high school during the first two and most came out to the work force during the end of Obama’s second term things weren’t 00’-03 or 08-10 like it was for millennials graduating high school and college Gen Z just might of had an after school snack shortage and BOTH had to go through covid and Both have to navigate current events to be successful

So I say to Gen Z go out there shut up and work 60 hours a week don’t have kids till 33+ if you got a good women/man stick together and use your duel income to build and hopefully you don’t have 3 devastating events that span 15 years of your earning adult life O and political turmoil doesn’t count as anything Trump was/is during both Gen Z/mil prime years

The oldest people in our generation are 27. What do you think we should’ve done by now?
And millennials are 29-41 old enough to experience 08 during earning years with debt/loans Gen Z was in grade school

You guys can’t fix anything just like we can’t … operate within the rules already set
