-So what exactly is your beef with kids staying home? I told my kids to stay home if they're not going to school elsewhere & stack up money to buy something or invest.
-Getting out of the house just to do it isn't the flex it used to be with the costs what they are.
My only beef if when they talc shyt about older generations but living off them in their mid and late 20s….
My beef is when they talc about how expensive everything is but eat out every day …
My beef is when they talc about “bucking the system “ by not working and prioritizing “self care” by taking vacations etc… but then ask the ppl who prioritize working and their responsibilities for money to help them out when they blow all of their money on self care …

Every generation thinks they have all the worlds answers in their 20s and that the previous generations (who were in their teens and 20s & 30s when major life choices were being made) were sooooo stupid back then and that they will be so activated now and a country full of great 50/60 year olds who the kids will love and chant “you saved the world” every morning at dawn

The govt IS people working for their family. Don’t ever forget they’re human. They can have lapses of judgement, they can get greedy, they can be petty, they can be frustrated, they can be incompetent, they can be lazy, they can be idealistic, they can be helpful just like anybody. The govt is now made up of many extremes and moderates of baby Boomers and Gen X.
Who are GenZ voting for since over half of them are of voting age ?

60/40. Mostly on the gov, but a lot of this is market forces too. And because we had the late 80s-2008's be basically an economic free for all. There were no stop gaps put in place to correct the market.
The house prices are because inventory is shyt. We stopped building new neighborhoods and new apartment complexes for almost a decade. If you live in a big city there's a gap between the years of like 2005 and 2016 where there was not a lot of shyt being built in America. Then in the 08 crash and tons of people downsized or snatched up cheap homes and here we are.
Couple that with the fact that because the economy in the 90's to 08 was so good, we didn't even bother fukking with quality of life adjustments in minimum wage or average salary. Because for the vast majority of America for almost 20 years, $55k-$85k was more than just survival. You were doing WELL.
yes baby boomers fcked sht up. Generation X actually made things even worse. Boomers kicked it off and Generation X finished sht and piled on.
but Gen Ziers are lazy as fukk. They dont want to work hard. The moment sht get hard, they pack up and go home
