It's an American thing with the lack of FORMAL education in Biology and Health Class. Other 1st world leftist countries have the majority of people in-shape and lean. I blame the abundance of the value menu of fast food restaurants since the late 90s for the obesity epidemic.

This is a mothafuqqin lie. I've been over 500 hundred pounds. Before I reached that weight over 500 my health took a dive.
When I was around 300 and active I could still run and do normal stuff. As soon as I ballooned up everything started to failed. If you think I'm not living my best life in my Avatar picture compared to that time you're nuts. When you are over 500 everything is more expensive.
It's harder to do regular shyt. The world isn't made to accommodate you. Clothes, fitting in normal everyday thing's and moving around is a struggle.
I don't know why you capping like this. You need to cut it out. Just walking is a hard at that size. You can't even get in the tub or weigh yourself on a regular scale

I don’t believe that people should attempt to lose weight for events, or to wear something in particular or to fit in w certain people, because what happens when you don’t hit your goal? What happens when you look at the scale and see negligible change? I think in situations like that, fatphobia comes into play.
for those interested in living healthier lives, i believe it should be a full lifestyle change that the individual is doing fully for themselves rather than preparation for something
