So basically, it’s a diabetes drug being used, and people are mad because people are using it to lose weight, potentially avoiding being exposed to….diabetes?

What type of diabetes does it prevent?

Fat Joe has been big his whole life. He needed that shyt. He was past trying to work out. So is Rick Ross.

I’m neutral.
So posters explained the shortage yet you purposely ignored it :pachaha:

I didn't read. I'm not stupid.

The "shortage" had nothing to do with a shortage in supply chains. They simply have quotas on how much they produce or are flat out lying to increase the price. The United States has the 4th highest number of diabetes cases in the world. It's 10th in obesity %. 41% of the country is obese. There should NEVER be a shortage :mjlol:. NEVER.

Do you really think there’s a “supply” issue? :mjpls:

If the drug is in that high of a demand for its intended purpose, the real question is why? In a country of well over 300 million, that many people have diabetes to where a few thousand to may be 10,000 people using it for cosmetic reasons can affect the supply?

Ok. :mjlol:
Idk.
It Come from a lizards venom don't it?

I'm confused. Are people being shamed for taking it? What's the big deal?
It's funny when I don't think this implied that anyone was being "shamed" for taking Ozempic for its off-label use, which is rapid weight-loss.

There have been a handful of fair criticisms that point out that the drug supply is limited, and that the off-label use was both: 1) a fad and 2) causing additional supply issues for people with diabetes who need the drug to regulate their medical condition.
yeah i know all that. my question is what did you do before ozempic lol. it came out like 2017.
i know a few people with diabetes. they take metformin and insulin.
my dad wanted to get a dental procedure and they said they wouldn't work on him unless his a1c was normal. he didn't run to ozempic. he diet and exercised and got his a1c down to like 5.
so i think the same complaints people have for using it strictly for diet can also apply to diabetics.
Everything from glucose control medications, to diets, to lifestyle changes, insulin and sensitizers, etc
Why y'all mad at people taking ozempic
I don't think anyone is particularly are "mad" at the idea of someone taking Ozempic.
It is pretty entertaining to be a wealthy rapper and entrepreneur for over 30 years and somehow still not have gotten your diet and work-out routine in order.

It really is easy to get and stay in shape if you have money: a personal chef can make you your food, and your personal trainer can get you in great shape. It doesn't even take that much time in your day (since you don't have to cook and get high-intensity workouts virtually anywhere).

I can't state for certain that it had nothing to do with supply chains, quotas, or price increases (considering how fast alternatives and generics were able to enter the market).

Ozempic's primary use isn't for treating obesity, it is for treating diabetes.

That being said, they should increase production to ensure that they can have enough supply for those with diabetes.
