If you want to see something funny. Here's my first two tries at beating Yellow Loong. At the end of his monologue he beats the shyt out of me. I didn't even get one hit in, So I'm like okay I need to prepare for him. So I change my armor to reduce lightning damage, drink some medicine to enhance attack and defense and now I'm like "I'm ready for your bytch ass now" 
Then he proceeds to beat the dog shyt outta me again

Glad I beat him though.

I'll try again tonight. I can see why you didn't want to return to this era. Chapter 4 is dark as shyt. Like visually dark. You can barely see what's happening on screen.

If you can beat the final boss you probably got everything you need. I was putting points into random nodes by the end.

Beat the mother boss, Violet Spider on first try. I'm at level 90
