My goddamn self. Shout out to my real Africans
As we’ve seen with Obama and now Kamala Harris, along with numerous other examples around the nation at the state level (Eric Adams, et.al.), being black doesn’t guarantee that a politician will work in the best interests of black people. More often than not, a black face is there for the sake of plausible deniability, laundering the preservation of white supremacy and ensuring that nothing substantive is done for the black community.

:francis:

These nikkas are goofy. They fall for this shyt every time.

Well we know it wouldn't be reparations. So what policies can he pass that will allow and compel more Black people to have more economic prosperity and more independence?
Access to city jobs where black people can keep control over the cities where they hold majority, what every other group is doing.
Why did you ask this question? Did you really not know or was it something else?

Congratulations to him. I read about him and he seems like a great candidate and politician.

His approach to policies that will impact black people are well thought out, they will have complete control too under his governance, and most of these policies are reasonable and can be done, and have already been done in other states with similar makeups.

I can't link the PDF because of an extension I have but go to "Read the full plan" at the top:

:ehh: This was a very good read. Really like the plan of expanding apprenticeships for black men in the criminal justice system amd creating tech certifications for black men.

Nice plan, Maryland may got one.

I knew he'd win the primary. Maryland better not let me down in the November :sadcam:

I honestly thought that Perez guy had it sewn up because he was part of the Obama administration.

I mainly voted for Wes because I saw him preaching about universal healthcare for Maryland :hubie:

Should be interesting though because we have a far right magat running against a progressive Wes Moore
