This is a democratic politician , this decision will impact tons of black folks who have been targeted by the war on drugs and open up several employment opportunities and a path to earn income. A Republican politician would never sign this bill, again you can act obtuse but there is a clear tangible and substantial and huge difference between the two political parties to social justice and civil rights and liberties

And California just banned hidden fees for restaurants.

State elections matter. A politician's record at the municipal and state record is what they use when running for the federal office. Pay attention to your local politics and support candidates that have an ability to affect your life right now.

Pardons are a good first step.

But if you know anything about Ex-cons trying to get work...

The act restores the civil liberties lost as a result of a conviction, but it doesn't expunge a person's criminal record.

And there are MJ felony convictions (intent to distribute?), and from what I gather, these don't apply here.
Who better to raise funds and start a legal cannabis business than a former business person in this field.

Meanwhile you got Russian Oligarchs trying to muscle their way into it
