AEW has a lot of stars that are getting fan support and it’s hard not to like Kylie Rae. She has been quietly missing recently and there is a reason why. That is because she has been quietly experiencing a medical issue.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Kylie Rae is currently out of action. They have been trying to keep it under wraps, but that is the case. It is said to be a “medical issue,” but the good news is that she will be good to make a return very soon.

The show is nominally remembered for its conclusion, originally slated to be a double-main event pitting Jake Roberts against Jim Neidhart, and King Kong Bundy against Yokozuna. Roberts' problems with drug and alcohol addiction had been well publicized in the preceding years, and his booking in the main event was meant to capitalize on the resurgence in popularity he had enjoyed as a result of his attempts at sobriety. Roberts' return to the ring was meant to be the high point of the evening, and the match responsible for generating the most publicity. However, Roberts suffered a relapse prior to the show and consumed a significant amount of alcohol before arriving. Prior to his match with Neidhart, Roberts had been scheduled to cut a promo in which he would taunt Neidhart. Due to his level of intoxication, Roberts' promo instead consisted of a slurred, incoherent rant consisting largely of wordplay based on the event's casino setting. One particular segment of the rant would go viral after it was posted on WrestleCrap:

You don't want to play cards with me because I'll cheat. Okay? I cheat. You wanna play 21? I've got 22. You want to play blackjack? I've got two of those, too! You wanna play ... Aces and eights, baby? I got too many of those, too!

After the interview, Roberts staggered to the ring with his trademark snake. However, upon reaching the ring, Roberts put the snake down and attempted to return backstage; he then reversed course, returned to ringside, and began greeting fans. Before entering the ring, Roberts grabbed a female fan and had her rub her hands on his bare chest. Later, Roberts removed the snake from its bag and simulated masturbation with it. The event's producers cut to wide-shots of the crowd during the incident, so that at-home viewers were unaware what was happening in the ring. Roberts eventually collapsed in the middle of the ring with the snake draped over his body; the prone Roberts then began to attempt to kiss the snake.

From a business perspective I think it probably makes the most sense to have Jericho as the champion when they go to tv. The hardcore fans will be watching regardless but for a casual what would be more appealing?

“Here’s this new wrestling company on tv and Jericho is the champion” or “Here’s this new wrestling company on tv and there’s this guy called Hangman Page that’s the champion but he isn’t related to DDP. He might’ve done DDP yoga one time though”

I’m not trying to knock Page but I feel a name like Jericho would grab casuals in at the start. Then once they’re in you can start selling them on guys they might not have heard of before like Page

Only way Jericho is going home is if the rest of his family happens to be out of town.

As saying goes, there’s money in the chase. It’s too soon for Hangman Page to be champ, same goes for Omega. Cody would get shyt on for furthering his Triple H impersonation. Pentagon would be an option, but he doesn’t have storyline connection to Jericho yet and is currently tied up with Fenix (and hopefully ending their feud) and the Bucks.

They really shouldn't have put themselves in a position of Jericho vs Page.

They are gonna Roman Reigns Page if he's champ and they are gonna be laughed at if Jericho is champ.

Jericho/Omega or Moxley/Omega should've been it.

Omega should've been the first champ but honestly looks like dude hasn't given a fukk about wrestling since he dropped the belt to Tana. Looks like he hasn't been doing shyt but playing video games since January. Completely different than when he actually looked like an A1 champion at Dominion and in the G1 last year.

Yeah I've been getting a weird vibe from dude every time we see him on AEW in some capacity, he looks like he never wants to be there.

He probably got talked into this one in a lifetime thing by Bucks and Cody, but he's already mentioned in interviews that he didn't realize how stressful the job was going to be. I think they all signed 4 year contracts. I think Omega is let out early and jumps back to Japan full time. I don't think he's going to enjoy a full time schedule of doing a weekly U.S. wrestling show.
