Right now, the incumbent Democratic president is unpopular. There are worries about global conflicts and immigration, which favor the Republican candidate. Funny enough, the Democrats are usually trusted more on the economy, but even in this election, voters are 50/50 between Trump and Kamala on that issue. The only actual issue that favors the Dems is abortion.

Kamala DID jump out ahead for a while, but it was a sugar rush politically. It was because the Democratic base got so excited that they replaced old man Biden, and also because Trump and Vance kept shooting themselves in the foot by saying dumb shyt. But, I hate to say it, they’ve of started to shut up and it’s working.

To me, this race is kind of like when an unranked team in college football (Kamala) is able to hang with a blue blood program for 3 quarters. In the 4th quarter, they usually just get worn down and the blue blood wins. Like I said, things could pivot in the last couple weeks (in 2016 Hillary got screwed by the James Comey FBI emails), but it would take something like that to shift the polls a bit in Kamala’s favor.

My bad for the essay lol I tried to keep it short

The problem with the immigration argument is that it's now known that the republican candidate publicly killed the solution to immigration so that he could run on the issue for his campaign. The economy which is by far the most important issue in the election should be in republican's favor but the only plans offered have been drill baby drill and tarriffs. Also it doesn't help the GOP that inflation is slowly cooling, prices slowly going down, interest rates are getting cut, markets rising, job openings reappearing, etc.

People are also looking at it as the fate of democracy being at stake too. who will get to select the next future supreme court justices.

the math isn't really adding up if we look at what has happened in the past month:
- new evidence from Jack smith's indictment of Trump publicly released
- confirmed by Russia that Trump sent COVID test kits to Putin while America had a shortage
- blasted lies about FEMA

meanwhile Kamala is doing way more interviews than Trump. So bad that he's canceling several due to fatigue. He's had disastrous events. She went on FOX and handled business. She's spending way more money on ads and outreach. so all this happens and the election has not only tightened but just "swung" back to Trump? doesn't make sense.

The only thing you could use as evidence things have swung back to Trump is all the recent Trump-favored polls, but it's been proven that a lot of aggregate models have been completely thrown off by an onslaught of Republican backed pollsters
