He should regret not dropping out earlier.
If that's the logic you want to go by, then that should be the case for all of those old heads in politics and not picking and choosing when it should apply to.

That's been the case with some on this site and in general when the topic of stepping down before has come up.

I don’t think anybody was going to beat Trump this time. He was able to appeal to too many non whites somehow. America wanted to root for the villain this go round

Bullshyt. All the demographics Biden was supposedly going to lose which made Kamala more favorable she performed worse with than any dem candidate in my life.

Let’s just accept reality here. All those bullshyt narratives people gripped into were just social media babble. Polls were off too. So throw all that out the window.
I keep telling folks that the DNC is just like the GOP in the sense that they will use polls to manipulate the public in order to satisfy the desires of the billionaire donor class but they believe that people who criticize both sides are secretly MAGA or that the billionaires that THEY like are altruistic in their goals.

It's a lot of ways voters/citizens play into the Batman Paradox. :francis:

fukk Joe and the democrats and I voted for Kamala. They knew Biden was cooked years ago. Kamala was a shyt candidate that literally had 3 months to turn things around for the Democratic Party. If anyone is to blame it’s the gatekeepers of the Democratic Party that decided at the 11th hour to make a change. As far as I’m concerned they were complicit in getting Trump elected.

Also this election was a clear rejection of democrats/ “liberals”. Democrats got washed at every level that matters besides outliers here and there.
I don't think kamala was that bad, she washed Trump in their debate to the point where he refused to do it again. Her economic plan made sense, she spoke well, campaigned hard and honestly, considering how little time she had for this campaign she did not do all that badly (third most votes ever for a candidate).

Latino men breaking for Trump and Gen Z males moving more conervative (and white women staying on code and voting for their race) sunk her. I don't think any dem candidate would have done better (who did we have? Newsom? Buttigieg? who else?)

We figured that the Roe v Wade issue and Trump's racism would help with Latinos and women and that turned out to not be the case. I do agree with you that she probably would not have won a primary, but I don't think we had an answer for Trump in this election cycle.

How could anyone think this?
Trump humiliated himself
Even the town where he said they were eating cats & dogs were laughing at him instantaneously there’s a recording.

How did Trump win?
Help me understand your perspective!!!!
Sometimes there are no winners. :manny: Yes Trump looked like an ass with his "their eating the dogs and cats" statement. He also looked like someone who didn't prepare for the debate. Kamala appeared as a candidate who was completely scripted and side-stepped questions. I seriously doubt there were undecided voters who looked at the debate and said Harris "convinced" him/her to vote Harris. There were no winners.

Biden came in first saying he was just there for one term/

He should've sticked to the script.

Not sure how anyone can say this when one of Kamala's biggest mistakes was not distancing her self from Biden policies enough.

It's clear record profits and good stock market does not equate to a good economy to average people
The genocide
Inflation
Inability to get popular campaign promises passed like tuition forgiveness
Immigration

These are all issues that hurt Kamala because it occurred under BIDEN administration. All that combined with a shyt debate and dude had no chance. They should have had a real primary starting in 2023
