He was losing 400 electoral votes by his own internal polling at the time he dropped out. Anyone saying he would’ve done better is strictly based on him being a white man. Trump’s entire campaign was designed to beat Biden and he was sad that he couldn’t go up against him.

I've had a lot of time to muse over the 2024 Election results. I've gone from shock to frustration to acceptance to 'WTF, AMERICA?!?' Truth is, the Biden/Harris administration had four years to prove they were a better option than Trump, but they failed to sway and inspire the crucial swing voters and independents in that time. I don't know which is worse—people voting for a man who refused to tell people to mask up during a worldwide pandemic, caused an insurrection after being salty about losing the 2020 election, was impeached twice, and was also convicted on 34 felony counts, or a candidate who couldn't easily beat said man.

The same polls that made Dems tell him to drop out, the same polls that Democrats now admit never showed them ahead also told them that being connected to Biden was Harris’ biggest downfall in the polls. It is half the reason people like Obama wanted an open primary and wanted Shapiro.

The only thing clear is that Biden should’ve never run for reelection. But somehow you believe that a sitting President with those low approval ratings would’ve done well when it’s never happened in history. Democrats are going to double down and lose again with this mindset and I’m past giving a fukk anymore.
