Got nothing to do with being stubborn. They take pride in being pawns. Those invites to WH Christmas parties, intern spots for friends/family, and pictures with the president are all that matter. It's about access because lord knows they have no real power. They just do what they're told to do.

Also think this entire affair is a perfect example of twitter not being real life. MOST democrats want Biden gone. MOST black democrats want Biden gone. Yet if you look online you get hit with endless drivel from that "Brooklyn Dad" and other influencers who are clearly auditioning for that WH Christmas party invite too.

I genuinely think some of these people are fine with losing because a return to the #Resistence days means their income goes up.
They seriously are on Roland’s show acting ike theres gonna be some massive black backlash if Kamala is skipped.

I rarely disagree with Roland but he’s wrong here.

Black voters will fall in line with ANY democrat. No one gives a fukk about Kamala like that, and I personally like her (loved her more as a senator) enough to allow Trump to win.

apparently theres rumors that donors are trying to pull the CBC off of Biden and threatening to withhold donations…Roland keeps saying that theres this risk of black dems not voting if Kamala gets skipped, not just pulled….

I do NOT see it.

Pelosi is apparently on Biden's ass to step down....

CNN

Sources: Biden defensive after Pelosi privately told him polls show he can't win and will take down the House

From CNN's MJ Lee, Jamie Gangel and Jeff Zeleny
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi privately told President Joe Biden in a recent conversation that polling shows that the president cannot defeat Donald Trump and that the president could destroy Democrats’ chances of winning the House in November if he continues seeking a second term, according to four sources briefed on the call.
The president responded by pushing back, telling Pelosi he has seen polls that indicate he can win, one source said. Another one of the sources described Biden as getting defensive about the polls. At one point, Pelosi asked Mike Donilon, Biden’s longtime adviser, to get on the line to talk over the data.
More background: This phone call would mark the second known conversation between the California lawmaker and Biden since the president’s disastrous debate on June 27. While the exact date of the conversation was not clear, one source described it as being within the last week. Pelosi and Biden also spoke in early July.
None of the sources indicated whether Pelosi told Biden in this conversation that she believes the president should drop out of the 2024 race.
Pelosi has spent the weeks following Biden’s disastrous debate performance listening to concerns from her colleagues. Pelosi made waves when she said in an interview last week: “It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short.”
When asked for comment, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates did not respond to the details of CNN’s reporting on the recent Pelosi-Biden call. “President Biden is the nominee of the party. He plans to win and looks forward to working with congressional Democrats to pass his 100 days agenda to help working families,” Bates said.
A Pelosi spokesperson told CNN that the former House speaker has been in California since Friday and she has not spoken to Biden since.
Pelosi spokesperson just called this bullshyt

"A Pelosi spokesperson told CNN that Pelosi has been in California since Friday and she has not spoken to Biden since."

Kamala can't win and it's simple: Center/left, center/right and independents in the suburbs aren't going to come out for her. They will just stay home. Trump will easily win with low turnout.

Those voters will come out for Biden. They won't for Kamala. It will be Hilary 2016 all over again.

I want an open convention, but Kamala doesn’t move the needle enough through straight appointment.

If Kamala wins in the convention, then it’s still a toss up but she’s stronger than biden post-convention.

Biden can NOT stay on the ticket. Period.

Yeah. Biden shouldn’t drop out.

The black elected officials are ignoring the base of black voters who want biden replaced because they’re old themselves, and also think biden has magic beans to pull another trick to win again. They are equally delusional and think their tactics of just touting generic democrat wins is gonna save their asses.

It’s not gonna work this time and reality is breaking because they can’t control the dissent any longer.

The fact Pelosi, Schumer and Jeffries are breaking ranks and the CBC is signaling how under attack they feel is the signal.

Biden is done and everyone knows it.

Obama could stop this…and he’s NOT.

An open convention does nothing but expose the inevitable dem nominee kamala because her opponents will use talking points that discredit her, which is fodder for the right and looks very dumb when they ultimately attempt to re-unify the party during the DNC.

It’s either you stick beside Biden and pray he doesn’t have a brain fart, or do a Kamala/Whitmer or Kamala/Newsom ticket and hope for the best.

I believe that MSNBC said that the Hispanic vote is 2:1 in favor of getting Biden out compared to 50:50 with the black vote. Imo they need the Hispanic vote more because they’ll switch sides and vote Trump, while blacks will just stay home. Both are bad outcomes, but one is worse

Edit: “The poll provides some evidence that Black Democrats are among Biden's strongest supporters, with roughly half in the survey saying he should continue running, compared to about 3 in 10 white and Hispanic Democrats. Overall, seven in 10 Americans think Biden should drop out, with Democrats only slightly less likely than Republicans and independents to say that he should make way for a new nominee.”
