I don’t see it not being the case. Trump is way too out there and polarizing. I don’t know anybody that didn’t like him in 2020 but likes him now. He’s like tripled down on the crazy since then
The ceiling for a Republican president is ~47%. Romney got 47% and McCain got 45%. It’s a minority party hanging on to power due to unequal representation in the senate, gerrymandering and the electoral college.
