Yes let’s open her up for attack by the right and scare away the moderates by saying she’s too socialist, communist, liberal and will ramp up inflation. Yes they would say that anyway but the attacks have more power if there are policies that can be attached to her.
Where are these moderates going to go? To the non-moderate extreme right who aren't appealing to them?

See, this is the shell game for crypto-conservatives/moderates who don't want progressive policies in the first place. They say we can't push progressive policies when the right is extremist because then we'll scare the moderates away, but we also can't push progressive policies when the right is more moderate because we have to compete with them for centrist voters. So basically we can never go left.

I’m highly skeptical of this because the leaders of the Democratic Party are upper middle class who strive to be the elite. That’s who they target for elected office and who their policies support. They could do policies that are focused on the poor but instead they ended welfare and the child tax credit, among other things. And have worked with the GOP to remove others.
This is a fair point, but my response would be that if the general membership of the Democratic were highly interested in economic progressiveness, they would have dragged the party to that point.

If you look at the Republican Party, evangelicals and rural whites installed Trump when the GOP wanted to keep putting up your typical economic and political neoliberal candidates. They dragged that party to where it is now.

If we end up at a point where left-wing social democrats who prioritize these sorts of economic programs yank the party to the left by, for example, elevating the next Bernie Sanders type over the establishment pick, I will be happy to join them. If Bernie Sanders had beaten Hillary Clinton to the nomination in 2016, I think I'd be more in line with your opinion about the party's approach to coalition forging, but he didn't.

Bro cut out your “the left” shyt. You don’t know me or anything about me. And you certainly would never look me in my face and begin any sentence with “people like you.” Social media has turned a lot of you guys into pseudo-political analysts because you have Google at hand and a false sense of being “pragmatic.”

Maybe you should’ve asked me why instead of running with your basic ass centrist talking points about the left and hopping like a pogo stick on talking points Harris herself isn’t stressing on the campaign trail. The point is, people are tired of bullshyt and most working class people think politicians are liars and the people I talk to are smart enough to know nothing is moving with split government likely. The pitch was actually “live to fight another day in two years.” Because I talk to people who are smart enough to ask “how is Harris getting this through a republican senate?” And in me saying your life is going to be the same - I pointed out the alternative if Republican policies had been in place or Trump agency appointees.
Relax your ego. My dig at the left and messaging was more so pointed towards you Kreole saying she’s not running on anything to materially improve people’s lives which is a lie. Kamala’s policies can improve a lot of people’s lives and actually has a chance to pass a Republican senate if the party decides to turn the page on Trump.

Check out this article from Detroit Free Press:

Michigan early voting: More than 250,000 voters in first weekend, Secretary of State says

:lupe:
What’s clear to me is that while certain trends will hold this election - there is going to be a sort of political reorganization along gender/social/regional and class lines. The more I get out and talk to people, I realize that they’re considering politics in a way that wouldn’t even cross my mind. The way liberals created air America back in the day to counteract right wing radio - there needs to be an investment in the influencer sphere to combat right wing dominance in those areas - especially where young men are at. I be hearing people reference shyt that I thought was just random incel internet weirdo shyt.

I saw mad black people talking to me about their fear of immigrants and some brother talking about build the wall. My head started hurting.

Things are changing (somewhat due to propaganda). I think many of us realize some politicians across the spectrum and are responding accordingly in ways that will benefit them.

Does anyone watch that voting trend channel on YouTube? It's kinda seeming like his models aren't that good. He keeps panicking about PA and I just looked and the margin is wider now. It doesn't really look like Republicans are closing the gap so far.

They can stay home or vote third party

Elections are a game of chess. This isn’t the right election cycle to be aggressive with progressive policies. The chance to push for those things will come in the future. We missed the opportunity in 2016.

If more republicans are voting early wouldn’t that create a more balanced Election Day?

Depends on turnout.

It always seemed weird to me that the right dominates social media.

Stuff like cable news and talk radio is one thing - those are funded by rich right-wingers so it's not surprising. But you'd think the left would do a better job on social media considering left-leaning voters are younger and more educated overall.

I will say Kamala's team has been somewhat better than Biden's was tho.
