I'm indifferent to most wrestling these days. Nothing is hittin. Even The Bloodline Saga while it's still good... they convoluted it but all the PPVs have been really good still.
Probably be better to just skip most week to week TV
the bloodline stuff was working back then but then became stale. that was a rare once every so often storyline. most storylines aren't gonna fully captivate the audience or most of the viewers. what helped the bloodline story is the date, time, and channel it was on. being a friday night is much better than a monday or tuesday or wednesday especially for a young audience or even people that gotta wake up early for work the next day. people could stay up on fridays watching instead of catching some of the show at a future time. not to mention it being on fox which is a more widely available channel. it drew more eyes to the storyline. i don't think it would've been the same if they had bloodline on raw and judgement day on smackdown.
of course the ppv events are almost always gonna be better but thats because we used to the same consistency on the weekly shows leading up to the ppv or ple events. its like sports for example, especially long season ones like mlb, nhl, and nba. the playoffs are the most exciting part. but during the regular season it gets boring watching the same teams and players doing the same exact thing day in and day out. not everyone is gonna enjoy every part of it or pay attention to the entire game. you already know who's gonna be the top players scoring points or performing well each night. sure there may be some new guys or surprise players here and there but thru out the season its the same guys often. The same guys in the top scorers of the nba this season are the same ones from last season. The game doesn't change on a day to day basis, just like the weekly wrestling shows don't either.
