In all seriousness. I think Cody says no. Drew sells his soul and wins the title. Rock goes on to face Reigns the same night. I don’t know where Rollins fits in. Maybe a mixed tag match against Karrion Kross and his wife. Seth partners up with Becky Lynch. In the grand scheme of things (the main story). I think the message will be Reigns and Cody is trying to take the power back.

It was the same last year. He had segments where he was basically winking at the audience and making it clear he's just having fun, and then he had segments where he fully committed to the character and managed to get almost all boos. I can't explain why, but that's what I'd expect again.

The Rock is the Rock...heel or face..he threatened a man's mother last year..lol. And fans have already forgiven that...all I know is the Rock isn't gonna let anything mess with his legacy. A piece is missing and that's what counts.

Can't see Cody turning anytime soon and I don't see Cena being a heel during his farewell tour. I could see Punk being excited about being a heel again for the first time in over a decade.

I don’t see what the Profits get out of another tag title run. There aren’t any teams that are over enough to run a program with.

The Smackdown tag division is beyond heatless. DIY and MCMG are a net negative right now.

I wouldn’t even do a breakup angle. Montez goes to RAW, Dawkins can stay on Smackdown. Both can be easily inserted into the US/IC title mix.

You have to do something with them.

What is the offer though? Be his champ? Ok, what does that mean? It’s implying something about being an evil/corporate champ but the reality is rock’s last 2 appearances before last night were pure baby face, and last night he was mostly baby face and alternating back and forth between “fruity pebbles” Rock and “final boss” Rock. Which I think is why it fell flat for most. He’s not leaning into the heel run anymore.

First off yall have to stop hanging so much on the Netflix show. He wasn’t in character per se but at the same time he was laying the foundation for what this new angle is going to be about. He is manipulating Cody by being friendly with him and offering him the ultimate prize for a wrestler is to be a star outside the company in return the rock has the top guy in the company doing what the rock wants him to do. Basically living through him. Now it may not end up being Cody but when you say he is not committing to being heel, you are missing the point, he is still a heel but he has to acknowledge the fans love him no matter what he says.

Right. He injected something no o e expected and got people interested in seeing what is going on.

I hate to say it but this is the right time to let it play out. People have to get over the PTSD from the Vince era, he is gone and on average HHH has been better, so I’m optimistic that between him and the rock and heyman they can come up with another interesting mania build.

Far as his "champion" there's actually multiple choices with reasons to why they'd want it. Cena, CM Punk, and Big Hate all have a major reason why they want another title. Whoever screws Cody over will be the one chosen to me.
