MCMG put in alot of time in the business. They're very well respected. Great at what they do. And they should've been given a shot in WWE sooner. I'm assuming that many probably feel them being giving the titles is a make up for that.
That’s why I don’t get the outrage. It’d be different if someone else like DIY got that spot.

I could've sworn Michael Cole said last week or 2 weeks ago that they haven't been champs since 2021

Felt like it was more recent than that. Been a minute. I'm sure they'll get their hands on it again.

Their last tag title reign was the SD tag team titles from October 12, 2020 to January 8, 2021.

This a weird reign. Technically SP were still Raw tag team champs going into the Draft that year. They got drafted to SD when they had been on Raw with a 224 day long title reign. New Day were on SD before the draft but were moved to Raw and were the SD tag champs at the time.

This is where they had SP and New Day swap tag titles, thus giving each of them a new reign for those titles. This is one reason why they got rid of labeling titles after brands.

SP went to hold the SD titles for another 88 days. So in essence they held tag title gold for 312 straight days.

March 2, 2020 - January 8, 2021

So their reign was mostly during the pandemic era.

That's happened in wrestling before, so it isn't like it's new or groundbreaking.
Carlito won the US title in his first match. Santino beat Umaga for the IC title as a "fan" with Lashley's help. Ultimate Warrior beats HTM in quick fashion to win the IC title back in the day. Those are just a few I remember.

I can see them having the SP be upset MCMG got the titles so quickly because the story they were telling is they think they were screwed out of that qualifying match. Tez did pin the illegal guy but that after SD promo they cut seems like they feel they were in the right. This feels like it could be a character shift for the SP down the line.

Just an observation from what they've shown us.

Of course not because that's the same thing. It's funny that the only reason people can justify this title change is longevity. All of sudden popularity and striking while the iron is hot are thrown out the window. :mjlol:
Nahhh some just don’t care to get outraged over something that’s not real and over tag tea titles of all things.

No matter how you look at it the titles needed to be taken off GoD ideally it should’ve been the Street Profits but no matter who holds them the division is cold

Only thing good that came from this is that it forwarded two stories

Bloodline & a Ciampa heel turn :manny:

But most could care less about the latter
