Breh. You can run PS2 games on an off the shelf budget PC from years ago. I know because I've done it. There's absolutely nothing stopping PS4 from playing PS2 games. You made that up.

And you can split hair about "stable" or "unstable" but ALL emulators take time to get right. And that's because the people working on them usually don't have all or really any of the important files or hardware so they have to reverse engineer it. If random computer programers can do it, then Sony definitely can.

As stated above all emulators are unstable until they are stable. Cell is more complicated, with even less info cause Sony and everybody else threw it in the bushes where it belongs.

And even with that, people were still able to reverse engineer the shyt and get it running. There's updates all the time about more games they get working correctly. If they can make an "unstable" emulator then Sony can damn well make a "stable" one.

Yeah fanboys on forums :mjlol:

Don't need to be an engineer to recognize bullshyt when I hear it.

You don't have any facts.

And earlier you said PS2 can't be done. Now you changed your mind :mjlol:

Drink Sony's Koolaid brehs :wow:
I said PS2 cant be done at a consistent level on the PS4. Which it cant. It can run only SOME games. Which is obvious cause there’s games in the store. And the exploit that they just hacked shows what Sony has ALREADY said. They BEEN said they added a PS2 emulator in the PS4. Problem is they cant get EVERY game working. Now can they get more games than they make available? Hell yea. But thats Sony for u. And no. A potato cant run a PS2 emulator. U said a pentium can run it. But ur being dishonest. Cause saying a pentium(minimum requirement) can run PS2 games is almost the same as saying a GTX480 can run these new AAA PC games. It def can. But its not gonna be a remotely pleasant or practical experience.
Hardware requirements are largely game-dependent. Due to the demanding nature of emulation, PCSX2 is much more likely to perform well with modern mid-range to high-end hardware, with lower-end systems likely to experience less than full performance.

U talkin to me like I havent been doin this type of shyt for years. I know what it takes to run that shyt stable being that I’ve been messing with it myself for years. Anybody who has would know u bullshyttin. And that mobile shyt u said was a straight up lie so im not even gonna address that.

Lets get to PS3 emulation. Now this is where u really goin full retard. @daze23 already basically explained the same shyt I said and u even dapped him for it. The Cell Processor is a REALLY complicated architecture. PS4’s CPU does NOT have the power to brute force the emulation. It just doesnt. This is NOT Sony kool aid. This is just facts.

1. Noone ever said noone can make a PS3 emulator. Being that one has been getting worked on for years on PC. But thats not the point. It was pointless to post that. For one cause that wasnt the point. And for two cause its not stable and its still in alpha. And it doesnt run most PS3 games stable. There is only 26% PS3 games playable on that emulator. And this is as of 2018. Its not a practical way to play PS3 games.

2. PS4’s CPU is too weak to be tryna run even that many games. Recommended MINIMUM CPU specs on PC is like a powerful Quad Core or Hexacore Ryzen or Haswell CPU and up. Do u think a PS4 is packing anything CLOSE to that shyt? Sike. Lol. Sony would have to work a fukkin miracle to get that shyt to run stable. And lets say they try. Do u think it would be even WORTH IT to use their time and resources to even attempt that shyt? Sony shot themselves in the foot since last gen and now they’re in this hole that they gotta find loopholes to get out of when it comes to backwards compatibility. But hey. Maybe they did it on purpose to implement PS Now. Which is failing miserably. Best thing about PS Now was the Vita and TV support but they pulled that like some retards.

At this point. Its obvious that u either love trolling or as mentally dense as one of them flat earth nikkas. Peace bro. Lol

No emulator or hardware can run EVERY game perfectly. Making that the requirement is unreasonable and disingenuous. Fact is PS2 games can be played on PS4 easily. The emulator is already there and working. Only thing stopping it is Sony so they can make more money selling the remasters, ports and streaming service.

It's obvious. Don't know why you insist it isn't:francis:

1. That's random people on the internet. They got 26%. You'd don't think Sony could do much better? And beyond that, this idea of it needeing to be 100% flawless is bullshyt. No emulator ever has been. Sony wouldn't have to. They'd just have to put in a bit of work to get the most popular/requested especially 1st party titles should be easy. That's what's being done on Xbox. It's not a 100% flawless emulator. Microsoft puts in the time to get them right almost individually.

2. Not true at all. Made up by you. First off you don't need those CPUs to play the games they got working on the emulator and second Sony wouldn't have to brute force it. They have the code.

Is it worth it? I guess Sony decided no cause they can just sell the games again and they are having a lot of success with their current strategy. They just have to claim its technical issues as opposed to economics.

Wrong nikka. Just wrong. Son u obviously dont know what u talkin bout. U need a powerful ass PC to run that PS3 emulator even remotely decent. They will tell u themselves nikka. The processing power needed to run that emulator is not a joke. U cant just throw that shyt on some regular ass PC and think its gonna work out. U need a nice rig to run even that miniscule percentage of games. U got people getting 3 frames per second with the PS3 version of Persona 5 with nice rigs on that damn emulator. Lol. Again. U dont know what u talkin bout. In order to run an emulator. The game has to be tricked to think its running on the native hardware. It will take Sony alot more processing than they have available in the console to emulate that cell processor. Now let me break this down for u. The Ps3’s cpu was stronger than the PS4’s but it’s a catch cause alot of it was used for graphics tasks since the GPU in the PS3 was relatively weak. GPU in the Ps3 was weaker than the 360’s even tho if used right the PS3 as a console was more powerful than the 360. It was just less practical. The PS4 is def an overall more powerful and PRACTICAL machine. The CPU in the PS4 is also better for practical processing tasks. Which the PS4 does alot of. The problem is the CPU in the PS4 doesnt have the processing power to brute force EMULATE the cell processor. Bottom line the architecture is WAY too different and if u mix that with the weak cpu its an extremely hard task to achieve. As far as u saying make it emulate the best games. Its not as simple as u making it. They are better off porting the games over to the PS4. Which is what they do. Xbox One is in a better position emulation wise cause the Xbox 360’s architecture is far easier to work with and its very similar to how these consoles work now. Remember. The PS4 and Xbox One have the exact same architecture. PS4 is just more powerful. Well. If we not including the One X which is the most powerful console on the market. Bottom line is we wont see the PS4 pulling these power moves when it comes to backwards compatibility because they shot themselves in the foot since last gen. And instead of expanding on what they developed last gen. They completely abandoned it this gen for a more simple console design. Not anticipating that Microsoft would be doing the shyt they’re doing now.

The original conjecture is just to claim cell can't be done.

Before that emulator existed y'all said "cell is so strong and complicated that an emulator could NEVER be done"

Now that's moved to "all games can't be done"

As they get it working better you guys will move goalposts again.

Sipping on that Sony Koolaid. :mjlol:

Not even reading all this mufukka.

Cell isn't some mystical power. If Sony wanted to emulate it, they could on PS4

Only Sony could create something so complex that they could not create it even after they created it

PS4 is not backwards compatible because Sony does not want it to be. There's nothing to even debate here.

The way some of ya'll are defending daddy Sony is :scust:
