I am problackness but I'd be lying if I said I hate "cacs" or anyone of any race simply because they are not black. I understand that white people today are benefitting from the ill-gotten gains of their progenitors, but I can't hate a person born today whose actions aren't racist, simply because they are not black. I can't help but see everyone as human first unless they prove otherwise...

Who says they have to? I think some of y'all have a warped generalized view of how people interact with one another.

On one hand, one of my oldest friends (we don't see eye to eye on a lot of shyt anymore) didn't HAVE to ingratiate himself into his BM's family at all. But being that her father had a car tinting business, was fond of him and wanted him to have way to support his family, he taught him how to tint before he graduated high school.

He ain't had a 'job' since he was 17 and has parlayed that trade into a commercial tinting company, is one of the most successful entrepreneurs I know and he ain't even with the bytch anymore.



And it often works the other way around, which is what @Will Ross was getting at. Not every IR relationship fits within tragic framing of some token negro trying to awkwardly fit into to some tone deaf white bytches family while also being followed and jeered at in the streets by randoms. I would say that most don't. And being that the man is the head of the family it's usually going to be her doing the ingratiating herself with his family.
