NFL understands that marketing teams/franchises is a more sustainable model than focusing on individual superstars.

That sense of urgency and intensity just isn't there until the playoffs. Feels like you can ignore the game until January/February and it doesn't feel like you missed much.
The NFL did that because players wear helmets and one player doesn’t have the impact that one star player can have on the court—and to limit player power.

The Nba would be better if they made it round robin because there are too many games.

In a perfect world the NBA would do that but as you said the impact one or two players on a basketball team outweighs any one great player in any other team sport. I mean to win a championship you need at the very least a top 5-10 player in the league. It's easier to market teams in football where the best team doesn't always win, thus leading to hope for fanbases. In basketball, most often the best team wins in the end, period.

Like others have said. Dude is in the smallest market in the Nba.…that‘ll hurt you. If he played for the Knicks he’d have billboards on Times Square.

And secondly…SGA is a top 5-6 player in the league and even after that you got Jalen Williams their second year player who is straight hooping. Chet for amazing as hes been is their 3rd option. Which I’m pretty sure means they got a scary ass squad:francis:

It’s not sustainable because Americans won’t Stan foreign players and the nba thrives on player fandom

The NBA desperately needs Ja Morant, Lamelo or Ant Edward’s to do some real winning

They'll stan foreign players, but only in a healthy environment where there are multiple American superstars. Think about when Dirk was that dude for instance. Yea he was big but we have Kobe, Duncan, Garnett, etc. Not to mention Nash, who technically was Canadian but you might as well count him as American.

I see Tatum's jersey sales are super high but just don't buy he's The Guy yet. Ant has everything to be The Guy but needs to win something, and hope that off the field shyt can be swept under the rug/forgotten.

You can start by putting winning teams on Christmas instead of the same teams, why was a bunch of .500 teams that may not even make playoffs playing on Christmas? Better yet, why do .500 teams have 30 something national games yet the most winning teams have barely any? And nba wonder why ratings struggle.
The schedule is made in the summer...
