People steady lumping LaMelo with the Ja & Zion of the league is wild to me
Assuming Ja and Zion are healthy and don't have the off court distractions by this time, it's hard for me to see them not on the team.
A lineup of Ja Edwards Chet Tatum( if he chooses to be involved again) and Zion should be enough if they were to ALL play and the young players improve like we expect them to. Bringing cats like Banchero and the two Tyrese's off the bench should help as well.

Like I said in the other thread, what matters is the USA's team defense. That's how they win.
Once they dial up the intensity all these non-NBA players on other teams start feeling the pressure and fold. You literally can see it happening when they start "trying" for real and they basically start attacking the weaker non-NBA players on that court and getting baskets to really put on the pressure and blow the game open.
That's been Team USA's signature going back to FIBA u16. You can hit shots through 3 quarters, but that fourth quarter when they start dialing in means you need to play the best basketball of your life.
Those are some of the best two way players on the planet on that potential roster.
The other team needs to put out a counter 5 man lineup with as much big game experience with no glaring weaknesses that can be easily exploited.

I say no to Herb, Suggs, Hart, and any other player of their caliber. We don't need role players on this team.
We went with those guys because the stars couldn't be bothered with the world cup,We lost THREE TIMES last year following this goofy ass model. Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, Cameron Johnson, Austin Reaves. Good guys, great fit, defenseAnd we LOST. A lot.
